The time required for preparation of any exam depends on one's ability to grasp the concepts and how skilfully one studies...
If you study 3-4 months with full concentration and memory techniques..... you can clear the exam.

    Hi,

    See,this entirely depends upon you.
If you are a very hard working person and has very good ability to focus and concentrate, then 3-4 months will be more than enough for you!
But make sure that you utilize these 3-4 months in the optimum manner.

Keep in mind one thing that it is the self study and the amount of hard work that you put after going back home is really what matters.
Keep doing hard work and burn your night lamps!

I am sure that when you'll do this, you will be able to crack this exam!

    Best of Luck for CSAT!

Hi,As far as preparation for CSAT-2013 is concern 3-4 months are sufficient for preparation but preparation of any exam depends on one's ability to grasp the concepts i mean how one utilize that time. For exampleAll the candidates are having books, all the candidates are dedicated to work and most of them attend coaching institutions, take guidance from seniors and friends but what makes one success and another failure. Students say they studied for 18 hours and still they couldn¡¯t make mains. Others say theystudied only for 8-9 hours and could make mains. Why these differences. The difference between successful candidates and the failure candidates is same as difference between ordinary and extra-ordinary persons. One who is able to make mains never counts the hours and how many books he/she has read. But they know what to read, what not to read, how much to read, how to use whenrequired writing the answers. Civil Service exam never wants one to be ideal. It requirescreativity, innovativeness within the candidates, who lack to use his/her knowledge properly they feel tough to clear the exam. Before starting the preparation find out properly what to read, what not to read, what types of question are asked from particular topics. After taking guidance from others put your own strategy, don¡¯t follow their strategy it may not be suitable for you,Better strategy makes one success in mainsgood luck.....

Re: Are 3-4 months sufficient for CSAT-2013 preparation?

Yes dear sure - 3-4 months are really sufficient to prepare for CSAT or civil services preliminary exam but you will have to study only not any other work along with your study as Job and you will have to give at least 12-15 hours everyday for your study of CSAT then you would be eligible to crack the CSAT and revise the topics of CSAT at least 2 times in a day then you will get the good command over your subject and mainly prepare for quantitive aptitude and reasoning ability because these things are very lengthy and takes the time to be solved so that you should prepare for your CSAT smartly and give the time as much as possible and if having more time and problems in solving CSAT then you should join any coaching institute to prepare for this exam because until you will not get any guide for your preparation you may not learn the tactics of the exam.

    All the best
