    Hello

NO YOU ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR THE IAS EXAMS.

You can not apply for the IAS exams until ,you are clearing your backlogs. It is necessary that you clear your backlogs in order to apply for any exam, having the current backlog will not allow you to be eligible for the IAS and not for any other exams either.

There is no issue with the history of backlogs, but having a current backlog is always a problem.
Every institutes want to have the best candidates for the jobs and if you have any backlogs then that means you having something little less than other and why would any one would wish to recruit the lesser one.

Hence you try to clear the backlogs, then you will be very much eligible for all the jobs.

Eligibility Criteria for UPSC Civil Service Exam 2013 :

A bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university and final year pursuing, final year exam appearing and final year exam result awaited candidates are also eligible to apply for this exam

Age of the candidate should not be less than 21 years and more than 30 years and relaxation in upper age would be provided as per government guidelines which is 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for SC/ST and 5 years for Ex-Servicemen category candidates

Dear you have crossed your final year both semesters but did not successfully means having backlogs and you would be called as final year aspirant but there is one more year increased for your backlogs subjects and your graduation would be completed in next year, if you qualify in the backlog subject of your final year so that dear you should not worry and you can apply for IAS preliminary exam but dear if your backlogs result would be published before the mains exam then only otherwise your are not eligible to apply for this exam

UPSC has recently cancelled the announced dates for this year IAS prelims exam but UPSC board again would announce the next dates for the application of this exam soon so that you should not worry about it and prepare according to the syllabus with new pattern and the prelims exam would be conducted at - 19th of may 2013 so that you have no more time to prepare for prelims exam and if possible then you should join any good coaching institute as soon as possible because you would get nothing to waste your time and waiting for next notification so that you should try to get qualified at once because this opportunity would come again but only after a long wait of one year so that dear why wait for one year, now start to prepare and get qualified

    All the best
