So, minimum age limit is 21 years and the maximum age limit is 30 in the case of candidates coming under general category and 33 for OBC candidates and 35 for candidates coming under SC/ST category. In the case of ex-servicemen an age relaxation of 5 more years is given.

On the other hand, for IAS,the criteria is-

    Age Limit:-

    Dear,
The minimum qualification for the UPSC's CSAT is to pass the Bachelor degree in any discipline at any recognized university. So, there is no require of percentages of any stage for appearing the examination. The age limit for the examination is within 21 to 30 years. The upper age limit for OBC is 03 years while for SC/ST is 05 years. There is only 04 attempts for General candidates, 07 for OBC and up to 35 years of age for SC/ST candidates.
The IAS stands for Indian Administrative Service and the IPS stands for Indian Police Service. The IAS is top administrative job of our country. Here you will be a highest administrative officer. The IPS is also for top Police officer like Superintendent of Police (SP, ACP etc..). Both the services have challenge and adventure in every steps. Think of it, and choose which will be the best for you. Thanks..... All the Best.......
