    Hi,

Yes, you are eligible for UPSC exams, as you have completed your bachelor's degree, but you should also fulfill age criteria.

UPSC conducts IAS exam in three stages -

    Preliminary exam

The preliminary exam is known as CSAT.

To be eligible for CSAT -

You should be a graduate in any discipline.

Your age should be between 21 years and 30 years.

So, you can apply if you fulfill both the criteria.

Re: Am I eligible for UPSC CSE after completing B.Tech (IT)?

    Dear Aspirant

First I would like to tell you just a brief introduction of what UPSC is all about in terms of eligibilty criteria, examination pattern.Civil Service Examination is conduted by UPSC every year for selection of candidates in various services like Indian Administrative Services(IAS),Indian Foreign Services(IFS ),Indian Revenue Services.

See the minimum educational eligibility criteria fixed by the commission is Graduate in any streams from a recognised university. So being done an engineeirng in IT you are eligible for appearing in civil service examiantion but keep in mind the minimum age limit fixed by the commission is 21 years and the upper age limit fixed by the commission is 30 years which has been relaxed by 3 years for OBCs and 5 years for SC/ST.

Besides this the important thing for you as UPSC does not allow any IT or computer subjetcs as optional. So keep in mind that you choose your optional properly otherwise you will have lot of problem.Though the importance of optional paper has been reduced but then also it keeps lots of imporatance.

You may also download previous year question paper from UPSC official websites(www.upsc.gov.in).For any other updates regarding UPSC updates you may visit there.
