    Are B.E (Electronics and power engineering) graduates eligible for IES (Engineering) services exam?

    can student having degree in BE in electrical(electronics and power) apply for IES
    I am doing BE inelectrical(electronicand power) and i want to apply for IES .is i am eligible?

    Yes, Sir you can definitely apply for IES exam with your B.E in Electronics and Power Engineering.
    for IES(Indian Engineering Services) exam you must have engineering degree in any discipline from recognized college or university.

    Indian Engineering Services exam is conducted by UPSC every year.

    you are required to give the papers in any one of the following four streams.
    • Civil Engineering
    • Electrical Engineering
    • Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering
    • Mechanical Engineering
    For IES there is no limit of number of attempts. you can apply any number of times within age limit. the limit of number of attempts is only for Civil Services Exam and IFS exam only.

    for IES your age must be within 21 years to 30 years on 1 January of the year of exam. there is relaxation in upper age limit upto 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
