Re: Can a bank employee become IAS officer?

Yes sir definitely a bank employee can crack the examination of UPSC and can become and IAS Officer but sir it is not a very easy way like banking clerk and PO competitions which are so easy to be cracked at once it demands hard+smart working and more time for the preparation but sir if you really wants to become an IAS officer then you may be but you would have to provide more and more time to the preparation because if you are providing at least 12 hours everyday then you can get the success and which is not easy for you because your a employee in the bank so that you have to perform your duty also in the bank and your employment is necessary for your survival and if you release the job then you would get nothing in very short time so that you should prepare for the examination by following your own strategy

If you are in a government bank then it is really great for you because you may get the time and get the leave whenever you want so that it is really helpful in your preparation and you may get the study leave whenever you want means you have one right way which is that if you have enough money for survival with your family then you should take the study leave from your bank manager for at least 6 months and do not waste a single day without preparation means you have to use each and every single day and second for your preparation and you should join the best coaching for preparation and complete your course within 6 months and when the examination date comes then appear for exam and get qualified at once and join the bank again till the declaration of the result and if you get qualified in the prelims then again you should take study leave and prepare hard for mains examination

If you can not get the study leave then you should tell to your manager that he/she let you go after 5 PM of the day because you wants to go to coaching from 5:30 to 9:30 and you need preparation for another examination and that is why provide you the leave early everyday and request to the general manager also about the same and i am sure that if your working performance is really well then you would definitely get approval for your preparation and you may get study leave

    All the best
