    Dear Friend,
-Being a second year student in Science stream, you are not eligible for the Civil Service exams conducted by the UPSC.
-You will be eligible for the exam only when you are in the final year of the Graduation,or you have completed it.
-Also,There is NO exam there to be cleared before appearing for the Civil Service exams, conducted for enrollment of candidates in prestigious posts of IAS,IPS,etc.
-The Civil Service exams itself are conducted in three phases, namely,
    *The Preliminary Exams.
    *The MainS Exams.
    *The Interviews.
You will have to clear the preceding phase to proceed to the next.Only the candidates who qualify all the three phases with a great rank, are entitled with the post of IAS.
-The complete eligibility requirements to appear for the UPSC Civil Service exams are mentioned below-
    # You must be a citizen of India,
or,You must be a Tibetan refugee settled permanently in India, before 1962,
or,You must be a subject of Nepal or Bhutan.
    # You must be 21 to 30 years of age.The upper age limit is however relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST and ex-servicemen and by 3 years for OBC and physically disabled.
    # You must have completed your Graduation or equivalent, from a recognized university, with any subject or stream.
Final year students are also applicable.
    # Number of attempts allowed are : 04 for General Category,07 for OBC candidates and Unlimited for SC/ST candidates.

-The release of forms are notified in January end on the official website of UPSC-www.upsc.gov.in
-You can apply either online or offline, according to convenience.

    Hey friend

IAS is one of the Indian Civil Service exam and this exam is being conducted by UPSc and is held every year.

While pursuing 2nd year graduation you cannot apply for the IAS exam as regarding the education qualification needed for the exam.

There is nothing to be regarded about any other exam to join in as a IAS Officer as you only need to write the IAS exam to join in as a IAS Officer,

The education qualification needed for applying for the IAS exam is that the candidate must have completed a degree from a recognized university with a fair percentage.

You can be a gradaute of any discipline as it does not regard it is only needed that you must hold a degree.

Even final year candidate can apply for the IAS exam but as you are a 2nd year graduate you cannot apply for the exam right now.

It is better that you wait for 1 year and then apply for the exam as you will satisfy the education qualification needed for applying.

Dear friend you are unable to apply for IAS exam.It is better to apply when you have completed your graduation.Because it will be held over the country and you have to prepare with a good planning. In this competition also more when compared to other competative exams. When you apply for IAS, it is not neccessary to clear any other competitive exam before taking IAS exam because IAS is a major exam among the other ones.It includes 3 major sessions like primilinary exam, mains and final interview. These 3 aspects are very important and you have to qualify each of the aspect. The exam includes indian politics,history,reasoning,aptitude,english.R.S.Ag garwal that belongs to S.Chand publications is useful and also VIJETA COMPETITIONS GK 2012 ENG VERSION this is also most usefulfor this exam....if you go through this in deep then you will make sure achieve a good position in your life any way all the best my frnd...
