Re: Can I appear in UPSC exams right after completing 12th? Is graduation compulsory for it?

For UPSC civil Service Exam you have to complete at least graduation from any recognized university till that you will not eligible for the exam .

For NDA exam you are eligible but you should follow the below criteria .

=> your age should be between 16.5-19 years old .
=> you should complete the 12th from any recognized board .
=> only unmarried male candidates are eligible .

So you can eligible for the NDA exam only , for the other exam like Civil Service Exam and CDS exam you have to complete the graduation at least without that you can't allow for giving the exam .

Because the criteria for the UPSC CSE exam is below :
=> minimum graduation from any recognized university
=> age should be 21-30 fro general cast , 3 years relaxation fro obc cast , 5 years relaxation for sc/st cast .

So first of all complete the graduation then go for the civil service exam .

    good luck

Re: Can I appear in UPSC exams right after completing 12th? Is graduation compulsory for it?

UPSC conducts various exams at the Undergraduates and Graduates level.

At the Undergraduates level i.e.12th Pass you are eligible to appear for exams

like NDA & SCRA.The age limit for NDA exams is
16.5-19yrs and for SCRA age limit

    is
17-21yrs in general category and relaxation of age for certain persons of the reserved category is applicable.

So,you are eligible to appear for UPSC Undergraduates level exams.

At the Graduates level i.e.Graduation Pass from a recognised University you will

not be eligible to appear for exams like
    Civil services exam,Engineering Services exams,

Combined Defence Services exams,Central Police Forces,Indian Forest Services, etc.

For Graduate level exams Grauation is the minimum educational qualification and hence compulsory.
