    dear friend,

    yes, you can apply for IES exam. IES exam is conducted only for engineers so, being a Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering graduate you can apply for IES exam.

    with that you have to satisfy the following eligibility criteria to appear in IES exam.

    Eligibility Criteria:

    1. Engineering degree

    2. Age limit:

    • General: 21 years to 30 years
    • OBC: 21 years to 33 years
    • SC/ST: 21 years to 35 years

    Hi Aspirant,

    Of course friend you can apply for the IES exam conducted by UPSC.

    IES stands for Indian Engineering Service.

    This exam is conducted every year at national level for the recruitment of Engineer posts.

    In this year the exam already passed and you can apply for IES exam in 2013.

    The notification of IES exam will be issued on 16/3/2013 and list date of application is 15/4/2013.

    This exam will be held on 28/6/2013.


    Qualification for IES exam

    Candidates who have completed BE or B. Tech degree in any branch from recognized university or its equivalent are eligible to apply for IES exam.

    You can apply from following trade of engineering

    Civil

    Electrical

    Mechanical

    Electronics and Telecommunication


    Age should be 21 to 30 years.

    Age relaxation as per government norms

    5 years relaxation in age for SC/ST and 3 years relaxation in age for OBC.

    You must be Indian.

    Candidates can apply through online application form

    Application fee: Rs. 200.

    1> yes you can apply for IES exam because electronics and instrumentation is also engineering branch..

    Yeah Definitely you are Eligible to appear for the "" I.E.S "" Exam


    I.E.S -- INDIAN ENGINEERING SERVICES

    This exam is conducted by the "" Union Public Service Commission ""


    And the following are the Stream to apply for the exam

    >>Mechanical

    >> Civil Engineering

    >> Electrical Engineering

    >> Electronics and Telecommunication engineering


    As your Stream is Eligible you can undoubtedly eligible to apply for the exam

    You must have a Bachelor Degree from a recognized university

    Minimum age could be " 21 " years

    Maximum age is allowed up to "" 30 "" years


    For the reserved candidates there will be an Age relaxation

    Hi,
    IES exam stands for Indian Engineering Services which is conducted by UPSC once in a year.

    IES exam Eligibility;-

    You can be either an engineering final year student or must have already completed your engineering in any of the streams

    > Electrical Engineering

    > Civil Engineering

    > Mechanical Engineering

    > Electronics and Communications Engineering


    Age Requirements:-

    The age of all the candidates appearing for the IES Exam must be within 21 to 30 years if general category...

    Upper age relaxation of 3 years for the OBC candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates

    The maximum number of attempts allowed for general candidates are 4 and for OBC its 7

    I am really sorry but Architecture stream is not considered for IES Exam...

    Dear friend,

    Yes you are absolutely eligible for IES exam.

    You are an Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering graduate, so there should not be any doubt regarding your eligibility.

    You need not worry about this.

    I would like to tell you that all engineers are eligible for the exam as this exam is conducted by UPSC for engineers in particular.

    It is just that you need to choose subjects according to your specialization in which you have completed your graduation degree.

    Here below I am providing you with eligibility criteria which will make you more clear :-

    A degree in any branch of Engineering from a recognised university.

    A special thing is to be noted is that MSc. holders are also eligible subjected they have
    Wireless Communications, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering as special subjects.

    AGE LIMITS:-

    GENERAL- 21 to 30 yrs

    OBC- 21 to 33 yrs

    SC/ST- 21 to 35 yrs

    PH- 21 to 40 yrs

    Yes you can apply because only Engineers are allowed to apply for IES....
    Please check your eligibility below:
    Age: OC 21-30, MBC 21-33, SC/ST 21 -35...
    The degree should be completed in any government approved college which is registered under UGC act....
    Candidate must be a Indian citizen..
    And you can apply when you are in final year if you are interested...

    you are definitely eligible for the INDIAN ENGINEERING SERVICES EXAMINATION ,

    as you are an engineering graduate with electronics and telecommunication engineering so you are also eligible for the same because

    all the engineering graduates are eligible to give the examination .

    so definitely you are eligible for the same .

    but the problem is that there is a restriction of subjects , that means if you wish to apply for the same then you have to apply with one of these branches given below.

    BRANCHES:-

    1. ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING.

    2. CIVIL ENGINEERING.

    3. MECHANICAL ENGINEERING.

    4. ELECTRONICS AND TELECOMMUNICATION ENGINEERING.

    AND AS YOU WRITTEN HERE THAT YOU HAVE YOUR DEGREE IN THE ELECTRONICS AND INSTRUMENTATION ENGINEERING SO YOU ARE DEFINITELY ELIGIBLE FOR THE SAME .

    BUT YOU SHOULD SEE THE OTHER DETAILS ABOUT THE EXAMINATION .

    AGE CRITERIA :-

    THE AGE MUST BE IN BETWEEN 21-30 YRS.

    Eligibility for IES:
    Any Degree(Civil/Mechanical/Electrical/ECE) form Recognized University with 50% marks
    Age limit is 21-30 years, OBC 21-33 years, SC/ST 21-35 years and PHP 21-40 years
    Should be Indian

    For

    yes dear friend you are eligible for giving the INDIAN ENGINEERING SERVICES examination being a graduate in ECE stream.
    The eligibility criteria for giving the IES examination is that you need to be a graduate n any of the following mentioned engineering branches
    1. Mechanical engineering
    2. Civil engineering
    3. Electronics and communication engineering
    4. Electrical engineering
    Moreover your age should be in between 21-30 years.
    In this age criteria a relaxation of 3 and 5 years is given to the obc and the sc/st category respectively.
