    dear friend,

for UPSC exams you need only graduation with any subjects(any field).

"so it does not matter that you have done graduation in any honours Subject or not."

    Eligibility Criteria:

for UPSC exams you must complete or appearing in final year of graduation from recognized college or university.

your age must be within 21 years to 30 years.

And there is relaxation in UPPER AGE limit for reserved category candidates(3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates).

    Good Luck.........

    Hi Roshni
Yes you are eligible for the UPSC Exams.
They do not have an essential eligibility criteria of graduation with any honors subject.
For example the UPSC Civil Services Exam just require a degree from a recognized University as the minimum essential eligibility criteria.
So as you have done your graduation from a recognized university (Calcutta University) so you are eligible for the UPSC Exams.
You can also choose Mathematics and Economics as your subjects for the mains exam.

    Hey there...

UPSC requires that the student must be a graduate from any recognized university, but it does not specify any required subjects.

So, you are eligible for the exam. The eligibility criteria are as below:

The candidate must be a graduate from any recognized university. Even final year pursuing graduates can apply.

A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on 1st August, in the year of examination.

The upper age limit prescribed above will be relaxable in the follwing cases:

Scheduled Caste or a Scheduled Tribe: upto a maximum of five years.
Other Backward Classes: upto a maximum of three years.
State of Jammu & Kashmir : upto a maximum of five years.
Defence Services personnel : upto a maximum of five years

    No of attempts allowed:
    1. General - 4 years
    2. OBC - 7 years
    3. SC/ST - no limit

You can apply for the exam once the notification for it comes out...
You can do this in 2 ways..

    1. Online: fill the form online by visiting the website, you must upload a photo and signature and submit it.
    2. Offline: you can obtain the form from post office, fill it up in blue/black point pen with signature and photo and then mail it to the upsc board.

no dear you need not to worry about it .

because every aspirant having graduation degree
in any subjects form a recognized university is eligible to apply for the upsc examinations.

graduation in an honors subject is not a condition to apply for the upsc examination.
i want to mention that honors students are also eligible for the upsc exams.

you are fully eligible to apply for upsc examinations with your educational qualifications.

for the upsc graduation based examination
you must have attained the age of 21 years to become eligible for the exams
OBC and SC/ST category gets an age relaxation of 3 years and 5 years respectively.
