    The criteria for appearing in Civil service exam is:
    1. India nationality.
    2. Graduate in any stream from a recognised university.
    3. Age: 21-30 (open), 21-33(OBC), 21-35(SC/ST).

    It is not necessary that only bright students can clear Civil Service exams. A poor student can also clear upsc exam. All what you need to do is make your concepts crystal clear by rigorously reading reference books and solving problems. Also study in a smart manner.

    The number of attempts are
    4 for open, 7 for OBC, 9 for SC/ST.

    Yes definitely you can clear IAS exam if you work hard for the objective paper of IAS and perform well in Interview.

    You need graduation to apply for IAS exam . The age limit is 21 to 30 years if you are general category.

    For SC/ST 5 years relaxation is available and OBC 3 years .

    The number of attempts for general is 4 and OBC is 7 . For SC/ST no limit in attempts.

    You have to perform well in CSAT to become eligible for mains exam. mains exam will be both objective and descriptive.

    Interview will be after mains exam. If your marks are good in mains and interview then you have a very good chance of becoming IAS officer.

    You graduation marks does not count in selection . Hence you should prepare well if you want to get the IAS post.

    Yes,my friend, of course!
    See,there is nothing that only Rich students are only able to crack Civil Services.
    All the candidates stand in with an equal chance.
    Its the Hard Work that you do is the deciding factor.

    Keep doing hard work and practicing.
    Attempt some mock test and past year papers.

    I'm sure if you burn out the night lamps,you'll sail through and will emerge as the winner!

    Dear candidate to quaify a cse like exam poor or rich people does not matter.the needed thing is merit/quality/expertise etc.if have the intention then the proverb is for you "where there is a will there is a way" only you need to work hard and fulfil the eligibility.

    1.to do cse of upse you are to be a graduate from a recognized university or a final year candidate in any discipline.
    2.your age must be within 21 years to 30 years.
    3.you must be the citizen of india.
    4.as a gen.candidate you will get 4 attempts only and for obc 7 attempts also for s/c,s/t no limit.

    You are to show better result in main exam and also in personal interview to get the selection as ias.

    yes my dear you can do it.

    UPSC civil services is neither a very tough exam nor so easy. If you are doing a planed study then i am sure that you will crack this exam.

    If you want to crack this exam then there are some following tips for you which is useful for your preparation


    Be confident
    never think negative thinking in your mind
    read news paper daily. reading newspaper is very beneficial for you because you cover a lot of awareness from this.
    be regular that means continuity in your study is very important part of your preparation.
    make a friend circle where you can discuss your problem related to UPSC

    Yes, of course a poor student can appear & clear the exams of civil services.
    Eligibility:
    Education Required:-
    1.The candidate must be a bachelor degree holder in any dicipline from any recognized university.
    2.Final year students of a degree course is also eligible to apply for civil service.
    Age:
    For General Minimum 21 year & maximum 30 year on 1st August on the year of examination.
    Upper Age relaxed by 3 year for OBC & 5 year for SC/ST.
    Upper age relaxed in favour of special cases of Defence personnels.
    Other eligibility:
    The candidate should be a citizen of India.
    These are the minimum eligibility required for appear the exam.
    To clear the civil service exam depends on your hard work.

    Yes friend,you can clear the Civil Services exam even you are a poor student. You need to work hard if you want to do so. You need to prepare your best to clear these exams. Your must be 21-30 years to give IAS,IPS or IES exam. You must have completed your graduation to give these exams. ALL THE BEST...

    yes my dear friend you can always clear the civil services examination being a poor candidate, there is no demand of any kind of money for being an IAS officer, all you need is that you should be a graduate and your age should be in between 21-30 years. There are many people who clar the exam despite of being very poor.

    Dear There,

    True dedication break all barriers. Preparing for Civil Service Examination is not very costly at all. Candidates studying 10-12 hours with full dedication at home can crack Civil Service Examinations.You need not to worry that you are poor and you can not crack this examination.

    The Required eligibility you must fulfill are:

    * Graduatin in any stream from a recognized college / university with at least 45% marks.

    * Citizenship - Indian.

    * Age must be in between 21-30 years if you belong to General Category,

    21-33 years if you belong to OBC whereas 21-35 years if you belong to SC/ST category.

    * You must be clinically fit.

    The examination is conducted in three stages:

    i) Prelims

    ii) Mains

    iii) Interview

    You have to qualify all the stages.

    That is all.

    You should be graduate and also can apply in last year of graduation.

    You must be under 21-30 years.

    You must be citizen of India.

    These are the general qualifications required for U.P.S.C exams:-

    >>Age limits;-

    21-30 years for general category

    21-33 years for obc category

    21-35 years for SC/ST category

    >>Graduate in any discipline.

    >> No percentage criteria.


    >>Number of attempts;-

    General category-4

    obc category-7

    SC/ST category -no limit

    So, don't consider it as a hurdle in your path.

    Instead understand the need to crack this exam... It will help you raise the family standard of yours by miles..............
