    Dear,
The qualification for the UPSC examination is to pass the Bachelor degree at any recognized university in any discipline. The age must be within 21-30 years. So you have to complete your degree course at first. But now you can only try to understand the pattern of the examination and can also prepare for it from very now so that you can easily got your aim after your Bachelors degree course. Thanks....

*you must be the citizen of India.
    * you must be the a graduate /appeared in final year with a govt. recognized

Sorry dear, you are not applicable to give the UPSC examinations like civil services,Indian engineering services,Combined defence services etc while pursuing your second year of bachelor of technology.

However if your age is below 21 years ,then you can give the Special class railway apprentice examination

The minimum educational requirement for all the these examinations is bachelor's degree from a recognised university.Final year candidates are allowed to give the UPSC examinations

    Age limitations:

    1.For civil services:

    General: 21-30 years

    OBC: 21-33 years

    SC/ST:21-35 years.

    2.Combined defence services:

    >>19-25 years

    No of attempts:

    >>general:4

    >>Obc:7

    >>SC/ST: no limit.

    Dear Friend,

As you have mentioned here that you are currently pursuing 2nd year B.Tech and want to give UPSC Exams , then my friend one thing i would like to tell you that unfortunately you cannot give the UPSC Exams right now because you do not fulfill the eligibility criteria for UPSC Exams .

The Eligibility Criteria for Most of the UPSC Exams are :

    * You must have completed your graduation from any recognized college/university.

    * Final Year students can also give the exam.

    * Your age must be in between 21-30 years.

    * There is also a relaxation in upper age of 3 years for students belonging to OBC Category and 5 years if you belong to SC/ST Category.

    * The maximum number of attempts allowed if you are a General Category Student is 4 times.

    * For OBC Category , maximum number of attempts - 7

    * For SC/ST Category , maximum number of attempts - No Limit.

This is the information i have to the best of my knowledge regarding your query. Hope the information will help you to the extent you want.

    Hello

NO YOU CAN NOT APPLY FOR THE UPSC EXAMS IN THE 2nd YEAR OF YOUR COURSE.

The all UPSC exams require a minimum qualification of graduation, most of the UPSC exams, there are only two exam which is conducted by the UPSC but is of 10+2 level. As you are currently in the 2nd year of your course, you will have to wait till you reach the final year, once you are in the final year, you can apply for the UPSC exams or else after completing the degree. The final year candidates are applicable or the one who have completed the degree,so wait till your degree is completed.
