    Can I take up telugu subject as option paper for Civils exam after completing B.A degree in Telugu?

    civils mains optional
    sir iam vijji i will finish in B.A dgree in sp telugu so i take in civils mains telugu optional

    yes you can take it as an optional subject as it is included in the eighth schedule of the constitution of India. In mains exam you have paper I of 300 mark, for which you can select telugu as a subject for literature also.

    Yes you can take telugu as an optional subject as it is included in the eighth schedule of the constitution of India. In mains exam you will have 300 marks paper I for telugu subject as well. You can select it as a literature subject also.

    Yes, Telugu is considered as an optional subject in UPSC. As will done B.A. in Telugu, then according to me you should take Telugu as an optional subject.

    Yes you surely can.

    As per new guidelines it is possible before and after the submission of IAS Exam council protocol too.

    dear aspirant,

    yes, you can take telugu as your optional subject. According to new guidelines of UPSC you can only select language paper as your optional subject only if you have done graduation with that subject as a Main Subject.
    As you said you have done B.A. with Telugu as Main Subject. So you can take Telugu as your optional subject.

    Eligibility Criteria For Civil Services:

    >>you must have completed or appearing in final year of graduation.



    >>your age must be within 21 years to 30 years on 1 August of the year of exam. there is relaxation in upper age limit up to 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.


    Limit Number Of Attempts:


    >>General category: 4 attempts
    >>OBC category: 7 attempts
    >>SC/ST category: No Limit


    Important dates of Civil Services exam in 2013:


    CSAT(Prelims):
    date of Notification:05.03.2013
    last date of receipt of application:04.04.2013
    date of exam:26.05.2013


    Mains:
    date of exam:01-12-2013

    yes you can definitely take telegu as your optional subject in civil services examination.

    In the how you UPSC are good one are it

    And the how you need the better one are it
