    Can Medical Student apply for UPSC exam? Details about the syllabus and eligibility criteria for the exam?

    how an when can medical students apply for upsc entrance exam? If so, what is the portion to study? What books to refer ond use?what thing and criterias are we supposed to know and follow regarding this exam?

    this is the official website of UPSC from this you can get any information about the exams conducted by UPSC.

    yes u can. An eligibility criterion is the same for all the students even from different streams. U just need to be a graduate. Age limit is 21 to 30 in general category, 21 to 33 in obc, and 21 to 35 in sc/st. refer NCERT books

    students from any stream can apply for upsc provided they have valid graduation certificate from recognised university,person should not be more then 30 years in general or 33 for obc and 35 years for sc and st candidates.
    one should opt subjects from graduation or one can opt any subject depends on interest and comfort level! students from medicine feild can opt medicine and zoology or any combination for mains exam ,one can see the syllabus at upsc portal. for the sam e optional subjects at www,upsc.gov.in,for prelims csat exam gs and aptitude need to be polished!

    Yes ofcourse, medical students can apply for the exam, in fact anyone who has completed graduation can apply..and most importantly there is an age limit of 21-30 years on 1st august of the year of examination, the candidate must fulfill the criterias..and candidates can choose the subjects of their own interest as per the rules of the upsc, for more details go to www.upsc.gov.in

    If the medical student have completed graduation then he/she can appear for the upsc exam..Anyone having completed graduation can apply for the upsc exam, but the candidate must be of the age within 21-30 years, and the candidate can choose the subjects of their own interest..for more details go to www.upsc.gov.in

    dear UPSC requires candidates who have completed their graduation from a recognized institute or university no matters that you didi in which stream so educational qualification to apply for upsc exam is that the person should be graduated from a recognized university and age of the candidate should be between 21 to 30 for general ,for OBC age should be between 21 to 33 years and for SC /ST age should be between 21 to 35 years and syllabus is 12th standard that is should prepare 12th class syllabus well in order to clear the exam along with that your general knowledge should be good as well .....best of luck

    DEAR, U.P.S.C. IS NOT AN EXAMINATION.
    VARIOUS EXAMINATIONS ARE CONDUCTED BY U.P.S.C.
    U.P.S.C. STANDS FOR UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION.
    THE EXAMINATION IN WHICH YOU CAN APPLY FOR IS:-

    --COMBINED MEDICAL SERVICE EXAM
    --CIVIL SERVICE EXAM
    --COMBINED DEFENSE SERVICE EXAM(C.D.S.) (1) & (2)

    COMBINED MEDICAL SERVICE EXAM:-
    ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:-

    Candidates must have completed Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from a recognized university.
    Candidates must have secured at least 50% marks in MBBS.
    Age limit is 21-32 years
    The age of the candidate must not be lesser than 21 years & must not be more than 32 years.
    Candidate must be physically fit to apply for the exam.
    Candidate must be Indian citizen.


    EXAM PATTERN:

    The duration of this exam is 120 minutes.
    The questions are multiple choice questions.
    You have to appear in two papers.
    Paper 1 consists of General Ability, General Medicine & Pediatrics.
    Paper 2 consists of Surgery, Gynecology & obstetrics, Preventive & Social medicine paper.
    The total number of questions are 120.
    Total mark is 250 for each paper.
    For each wrong answer 1/3 the marks of the question is deduced.

    CIVIL SERVICE EXAMINATION:-
    Eligibility:-

    -To apply for I.A.S. exam, you must be a graduate from a recognized university.
    -Final year students can also apply.
    -Candidates who have completed their technical courses/professional courses are also eligible for this exam.
    -Candidates must not have any pending backlogs.
    -Age limit to appear in this exam is 21-30 years.
    -Age relaxation is available for SC/ST, OBC candidates.
    -For SC/ST- 5 years of relaxation is there.
    -For Other back ward class (O.B.C.)- 3 years of relaxation.
    -You must be an Indian citizen to apply in this exam.
    -You must be physically fit.

    EXAM PATTERN:-
    The IAS exam consists of 3 phases.

    1)Preliminary exam
    2)Main exam
    3)Interview

    Preliminary exam is divided in to 2 papers.
    Each paper duration is 120 minutes.

    Main exam is divided in to 9 papers.
    Each paper duration is 180 minutes.

    Final Phase is Interview phase.
    Candidates who have qualified in both the two above phases can apply for Interview.

    yes a medical student can apply for upsc civil services examination.
    the eligibility criteria for the same is a graduation in any field from an ugc recognised university.prepare with full dedication.

    Dear,
    Qualification is required for the exam is the graduation in any stream from the approved university
    The stream of the graduation and percentage of the marks is no matter for the exam.
    Any graduate student is eligible for the exam
    Age limit for the exam is the 21 to 28 years
    Age relaxation as per govt. rules
    Three years for the obc category and five years for the sc/st category.

    A medical student can apply for the UPSC civil service exam after completing MBBS degree. Civil Service exam is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission at national level once in a year. To apply for the Civil service exam you need to satisfy the CSE eligibility criteria: You should be graduated or its equivalent. Age should be 21 to 30 years. You must be the citizen of India.
