    Dear,

Age candidate should be hardworking... must know the world.. what's going on this world , on other countries... must be well awared with India's ... must know everything about his own country i.e. India.

There's no requirement of medically fit.. but ofcourse he must be mentally fit.

He has to do the following kinds of work :

<<To handle the daily affairs of the government, including framing and implementation of policy in consultation with the minister-in-charge of the concerned ministry.

    <<Implementation of policy requires supervision.

<<Implementation requires traveling to places where the policies are being implemented.

<<Implementation also includes expenditure of public funds which again requires personal supervision as the officers are answerable to the Parliament and State Legislature for any irregularities that may occur.

Don't worry about the salary.. the main thing you will get is the power.. it's the highest govt. rank anyone can have.

But, anyways... here the salary :
Junior Scale : Pay Band: Rs 15600-39100 Grade Pay Rs 5400

Senior Time scale: After few years experience, IAS are promoted to this scale, which is
Rs.15600-39100 with 6600 as grade pay.

Junior Administrative Grade pay is 7600/- with the constant pay band as above.

Selection grade officer will get a hike in salary with Rs.37400-67000 with 8700 as grade pay.

Super Time Scale at this position the pay is Rs.37400-67000 with 10000 as gradepay.
