    Hi I am Savita I am civil engineer. I want to know that when will be IES will be held in future and detail procedure of that.

    As you have completed Civil Engineering , you are eligible to apply for Indian Enginering Services (IES) examination conducted by UPSC.

    Age limits are:
    General-21 years to 30 years.
    OBC-21 years to 33 years.
    SC/ST-21 years to 35 years.

    IES stands for the Indian Engineering services examinations.It is also called engineering services exam.This exam is also conducted by the UPSC every year.

    Important requirement for the examination:

    1.Academic requirement: Bachelor's degree in engineering/technology in any discipline from arecognized university.Final year b.tech candidates are also eligible for the examinations.

    But for your conventional papers,you have to choose your subjects from the core branches of engineering which are:

    >>Civil engineering

    >>Mechanical engineering

    >>Electrical engineering

    >>Electronics and telecommunication engineering.

    2.Age limitations:

    General: 21-30 years

    OBC:21-33 years

    SC/ST: 21-35 years.

    3.Nationality: You must be an Indian.

    4.The no of attempts are :

    General: 4


    SC/ST: no limit.

    5.The important dates for the IES 2013 are :

    Date of notification: 16/03/2013

    Last date of receiving application:15/04/2013

    Date of examinations:28/06/2013

    IES stands for Indian engineering services. IES exam is conducted by UPSC once in a year,

    Eligibility Criteria for IES

    You Should be completed degree in engineering & technology for following branch

    Civil Engineering
    Electrical Engineering
    Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering

    Age limit

    Candidate should be minimum 21 year and maximum 30 year
    for SC/ST 5 year that means range of age is 21 to 35
    For OBC 3 year that means range of age is 21 to 33

    candidate should be Indian.

    IES stands for Indian Engineering Services. IES exam is conducted by UPSC every year for the recruitment of candidates in different services such as civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and electronics engineering. You just have to satisfy the eligibility criteria to appear for the Exam.

    The Basic eligibility criteria for IES Exam are as follows:
    The candidate should have degree in engineering from university recognized by UGC.
    The candidate should be Indian.
    The General age limit is 21-30 yrs.
    The maximum number of attempts allowed for general candidates is 4.

    >> IES is stand for Indian Engineering Service.

    >> This is taken by UPSC board on behalf of Central government.

    >> for applying this you have to fulfill this requirement.

    >> he minimum education qualification required for IES is Graduation Degree in any of Engineering branch.

    >> And in IAS the minimum Education Qualification is Graduation Degree in any Field from Recognized University.

    >> And age limit is 21-30 years.

    >> Candidate must be citizen of India.

    >> Final year candidate can also appear for IES exam or IAS. But Documents must be Verified before mains exam.

    Hello Friend,
    IES means Indian Engineering Service.UPSC conduct IES exams to make recruitment in different Govt. Departments for different Engineering service or post.

    Educational Qualification:
    Electrical,Electronics& communication,civil, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree from a recognized University.
    M.sc or equivalent with wireless communication,electronics as aspecial subject is also acceptable for certain posts.
    students of final year Engineering or equivalent degree are also eligible.

    Age Limit:
    Not lessthan 21year & not more than 30 year on 1st August of the year of examonation.
    upper age limit is relaxable for SC/ST/OBC & certain others.

    The selection procedure for the exam includes written test & personal interview.candidate should apply for the exam through online /Off line.

    dear aspirant,

    For IES(Indian Engineering Services) exam you must have engineering degree in any discipline. Indian Engineering Services exam is conducted by UPSC every year. But candidates are required to give the papers in any one of the following four streams.
    Civil Engineering
    Electrical Engineering
    Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering
    Mechanical Engineering

    for appearing in exam you have to fulfill some other requirement like:

    >>Engineering degree in any discipline from recognized college or university

    >>your age must be within 21 years to 30 years . there is relaxation in upper age limit upto 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.

    Important Dates for upcoming Engineering Services Exam in 2013 :

    Date Of Notification - 16-03-2013

    IES Stands for Indian Engineering Service Examination and this examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission Once in a year for recruitment of different department of Civil , Mech ,Electrical , Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering . This year Last date for receipt of application has been completed . Next announcement will be expect in the month of Feb/March in the official website of UPSC as well as employment news paper . The application forms are accepted only online mode and there is no offline mode application .

    Eligibility Criteria for IES Examination ::

    ~~The candidate must be Citizen of India OR Subject of Bhutan OR Subject of Nepal .
    ~~The candidate must have a holding the engineering degree course from a recognized Institution .
    ~~The candidate who are completed M.Sc degree with Wireless Communication , Electronics , Radio Physics , Radio Engineering may also applicable .
    ~~The candidate must have a minimum 21 years and maximum 30 years .
    ~~Final year candidates are eligible to apply for this examination .
    ~~Selection Process :: Written examination , Main examination and Personal Interview .
