    Are engineering graduates eligible for forest services examination?

    Sir i m doing my final year B.E in Electronics and Communication Engineering... am i eligible to apply for Indian Forest Service exam?

    no dear there no possible for you because for this you need to take other subject for graduation like botany , zoology , agriculture than you eligible for this exam .

    Dear Aspirant

    Yes being an engineering graduate you are eligible for appearing in the examination but you can choose optional paper only among the following
    Agriculture or Agricultural Engineering or Animal Husbandry and Veterniary Science or Botany or Chemsitry or Forestry or Zoology or Statistics or Geology
    From engineering you may have papers like Civil Engineering,Mechanical Engineering,Chemical Engineering,Physics and Mathematics.

    yes surely you can apply for IFS EXAM.


    any graduate and engineering stuents can apply for IFS EXAM.


    final year appearing students can also apply.

    age must be21 to 30 years.

    age relaxation for obc 3 years, for sc/st 5 years.

    you must be indian.

    dear aspirant,


    Yes, Sir Engineering graduates are also eligible to apply for IFS exam. where acronym IFS is Indian Forest Services.

    for IFS you must hold a Bachelorís degree with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelorís degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering from recognized college or university.


    for IFS exam you must have graduation degree and your age must be within 19 years to 30 years on 1 August of the year of exam. and there is applicable relaxation in upper age limit upto 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST.
    there is also limit of number of attempts of 4 for general category and 7 for OBC and there is no limit of number of attempts for SC/St candidates.

    Friend, of course, you are fully eligible for Indian Forest Service (IFS) Examination.Please note that candidate with bachelor degree in followings discipline are cent percent eligible for IFS Examination: * Botany * Zoology * Chemistry * Mathematics * Statistics * Geology * Animal Husbandary * Veterinary Science * Degree in Agriculture * Engineering in any disciplineAGE LIMIT REQUIRED FOR IFS EXAMINATION: * 21-30 years for UR * 21-33 years for OBC * 21-35 years for SC/ST * 21-40 years for Physically Handicapped

    Hello Friend,
    Yes, Engineering Graduates are eligible for Forest service Exam.

    UPSC conduct exams for IFS (Indian forest service) post through civil service.

    Eligibility Required:

    Graduation or possess equivalent is the minimum qualification apply for the Exam.
    Final year students are also apply for the exam.

    Your age must be between 21 year to 30 year.
    The upper age relaxation is apply for the reserved categories.


    For apply the exam the candidate have a Indian citizenship.

    Yes,Engineering Students are elegible for IFS exam,
    Because in these exams the only creteria is Graduation
    but the main problem is of Optional Subjects in main exam.which should be chooses from list of given subjects.as one from computer or IT stream can't take botany or zoology subjects,only Physics,Chemistry and Math are available for them to choose any two from give three subjects.so I prefer you to choose math and physics.

    yes you can apply for IFS civil services
    as engineering degree is bachelor degree so engineering graduate is eligible for IFS exam
    it requires graduate degree with any recognized university.
    age between 21- 30

    Yes Engineering Graduates are eligible to appear for Forest services exam.

    The exam is known by the name Indian Forest Services Examination (IFS).

    EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:-

    >> You need to have a Bachelorís degree with at least one of the mentioned subjects:

    Animal Husbandry & Vetenary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelorís degree in Agriculture or Forestry or Engineering of a recognised university or equivalent.

    >> Candidates appearing at their degree examination are also eligible.


    PATTERN OF WRITTEN EXAMINATION:-


    Paper I - General English (300 Marks)
    Paper II - General Knowledge (300 Marks)
    Paper III, IV, V & VI - Any two subjects to be selected from the list of optional subjects. Each subject will have two papers. (200 Marks for each paper)

    Total marks for written examination -1400 Marks

    INTERVIEW OR PERSONALITY TEST- 300 marks

    AGE LIMIT:-

    It is 21 to 30 yrs for General category.

    OBC- 3yrs of age relaxation

    SC/ST- 5yrs of age relaxation

    PH- 10 yrs of age relaxation.

    If you follow all the above criteria you can appear for the exam.

    NO. Of attempts is also restricted:-

    general - 4

    SC/ST- unlimited

    OBC- 7
