    you give the combined defence exam.

    which is helpful for you to enter in the ima.

    in cds exam you also enter the navy, air force and officer training academy.

    other wise indian army directly open the vacancies,

    so update with the www.upsc.gov.in website and employment news paper,

    -Apart from NDA,you can appear for the Combined Defence Services(CDS) exams if you are keen upon joining Indian Army.
    -The CDS exams are conducted twice in an year,by the UPSC,for enrollment of deserving candidates into Indian Military Academy(IMA),Officers Training Academy(OTA),Naval Academy and Air Force.
    -The eligibility criteria for appearing the CDS exams for getting enrolled in IMA are mentioned below-
    :: ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA ::
    # You must be a citizen of India,
    or,You must be a subject of Nepal or Bhutan,
    or,You must be a Tibetan refugee settled permanently in India,before 1962.
    # You must be 19 to 24 years of age.
    However,the upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for backward classes.
    # You must have completed your Graduation or Equivalent,from a recognized university,with any subject or stream.
    Final year students are also applicable.
    Only passing percentage is required.
    # The number of attempts are not restricted until you fulfil the eligibility criteria.

    -You can check your eligibility and appear for the exams.The exam is conducted in two legs,namely-
    *The written exams.
    *The SSB Interviews.
    -You can apply either online or offline for the exams.
    -To apply Online,the forms are available on the website-www.upsconline.nic.in
    -To apply Offline,you can purchase the application kit from the nearest authorized Post Office.

    You can apply for the CDS examination online at www.upsconline.nic.in

    There are three academies in CDS examination:

    I.M.A. and Officers’ Training Academy, Indian Naval Academy, Air Force Academy

    There are different eligibility criteria for these different academies.

    1. For I.M.A. and Officers’ Training Academy- Graduation Degree from a recognized University .

    2. For Indian Naval Academy : Degree in Engineering for CDSE or B.Sc. (with Physics or Mathematics) for NCC entry.

    3. For Air Force Academy : Degree of a recognized University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering.

    Dear, You have to clear Combine Defense Services (CDS) Exam conducted by the UPSC to get into IMA and this is the only one path to get into IMA except NDA. So, prepare your best to qualify the same. Good Luck....

    To get Into IMA then you have to appear for CDS examination .

    CDS Stands for Combined Defence Service Examination and this examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission

    CDS II notification was available now and the details are available in the official website of UPSC as well as other leading news papers .

    Date of announcement :- 02/06/12 and Last date for receipt of application :- 02/07/12 . The examination will be held on 16/09/12 .

    Indian Military Academy :-

    ~~Unmarried male candidate age 19 - 24 years and born not earlier than 2nd July , 1989 and not later then 1st July , 1994 are eligible to apply for this examination . There is no relaxation for reserved categories .

    ~~Those who are completed their graduate degree of a recognized University OR equivalent qualification and there is no specific stream candidates . Any graduate candidate can apply for Military Academy Examination . Awaiting the exam results may also eligible to apply for this examination OR Final year of degree course may also eligible .

    ~~There is no percentage required for graduate candidates .

    ~~Application forms will be accepted only Online but no offline . There is no offline application forms .

    after your graduation from any stream you cam appear for

    CDSE (for recruitment's in three armed forces of Indian union)


    exam conducted bi-annually

    in which age should be within 18-25 yrs.
    & one must be university graduate from recognised university

    there is no age relaxation for any category

    where you can fill
    IMA as your choice no.1 among the four choices offered by them while filling the application other choices are AFA,OTA,INA whose you have to give priority from 1-4 where priority for OTA is fixed as either 1 or 4.

    other than NDA you can try for CDS(combined defense services). please check out the eligibility criteria for CDS.

    Eligibility criteria for CDS:

    1.graduation or engineering from a recognized university.
    2.final year students can also eligible to apply for this exam.
    3.age limit 21 to 25 years.
    4.OBC and SC/ST category gets age relaxation of 3 years and 5 years respectively.


    Also,
    1. For IMA(Indian Military Academy) And OTA(Officer's Training Academy) student should have passed Graduation from a recognized university . And for the Indian Air Force Exam the candidate should be pass in Graduation( B.SC With Physics or Maths )
    2.for IMA age should be between 19-24 years
    3.for OTA age should be between 19-25 years
    4.for IAF age should be between 19-22 years for IAF

    Well friend, You may appear for CDSE, if you want...

    It's another examination conducted by UPSC and termed as " Combined Defense Services Examinations "

    By appearing this examination you may get direct entry to IMA, OTA, Navy and air force.

    Eligibility criteria for it :

    >> For, IMA your age must be in mid of 19 and 24

    >> For IMA, You must at least Graduate from any trade.

    >> For IMA , You must be Indian Citizen for it

    IMA: Stands for the Indian Military Academy

    Yes you can appear in the exam with out giving the exam Nda

    You have to write the common Defence services exam for it

    Which is conducting by the upsc department twice in a year

    Here is the Details of the CDS IMA Exam:

    - The candidate should be pass in Graduation from a recognized Indian university

    - The candidate age should be between 19-24

    - Their is no relaxation given to any of the candidate

    Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, 40 Vacancies
    Course Commencing in July 2013, Executive (Hydro/General Service) (including 06 vacancies reserved for NCC ‘C’ certificate holders (Naval Wing)
    Air Force Academy, Hyderabad, 32 Vacancies

    Candidates who are studying in the final year degree course and have yet to pass the final year degree examination can also apply but they will be required to submit proof of passing the degree examination to reach the Army HQ/Rtg CDSE Entry, West Block III, RK Puram, New Delhi-110066 in case of IMA/SSC first choice candidates and Naval HQ DMPR, (OI & R Section) Room No-204, ‘C’ Wing, Sena Bhawan, New Delhi-110011 in case of Navy first choice candidates and PO3(A)/Air Headquarters, ‘J’ Block, Room No 17, Opp Vayu Bhawan, Motilal Nehru Marg, New Delhi-110011 in case of Air Force first choice candidates by the following dates failing which their candidature will stand cancelled

    Candidates possessing professional and technical qualifications which are recognised by Govt as equivalent to professional and technical degrees would also be eligible for admission to the examination
    In exceptional cases the Commission may treat a candidate, who does not possess any of the qualifications prescribed in this rule as educationally qualified provided that he/she possesses qualifications, the standard of which in the opinion of the Commission, justifies his/her admission to the examination
    How to apply ?
    FEE :
    Candidates (excepting Female/SC/ST candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay a fee of Rs 200/- (Rs two hundred only) either by depositing the money in any branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of SBI, State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/State Bank of Hyderabad/ State Bank of Mysore/State Bank of Patiala/State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card
    All Female candidates and candidates belonging to SC/ST/ are not required to pay any fee
    No fee exemption is, however, available to OBC candidates and they are required to pay the full prescribed fee

    Candidates serving in the Armed Forces are required to inform their Commanding Officer in writing that they have applied for this examination
    They are also required to submit NOC in this regard at the time of SSB interview
    The online applications can be filled upto 02nd July, 2012, upto 11.59 p.m. after which the link will be disabled
    The eligible candidates shall be issued an e-Admission certificate three weeks before the commencement of the examination
    The e-Admission certificate will be made available in the UPSC website
    www.upsc.gov.in for downloading by candidates
    No admission certificate will be sent by post
    If a candidate does not receive his/her e-Admission certificate or any other communication regarding his/her candidature for the examination three weeks before the commencement of the examination, he/she should at once contact the commission
    Information in this regard can also be obtained from the Facilitation Counter located in the Commission’s Office either in person or over Tele 011-23381125/011-23385271/011-23098543
    In case no communication is received in the Commission’s Office from the candidate regarding non-receipt of his/ her e-admission certificate at least 3 weeks before the examination, he/she himself/herself will be solely responsible for non receipt of his/her e-admission certificate
    No candidate will ordinarily be allowed to take the examination unless he/she holds an e-admission certificate for the examination
    On receipt of admission certificate, check it carefully and bring discrepancies/errors, if any, to the notice of UPSC immediately

    Except NDA(National Defence Academy) Exam you can apply for CDS(Combined Defence Services) exam to get placed in IMA(Indian Military Academy).

    CDS is conducted in following categories:
    1. INA
    2. IAF
    3. IMA
    4. OTA


    Eligibility Criteria For CDS:

    Educational Qualification:

    • IMA and OTA: graduation from recognized college or university
    • INA and IAF: B.Tech or B.Sc in Math and physics
