    me ips banna chahta hu.lekin kuch samaj me nahi aa rha hai iske liye kab or kon si exam dena padhe gi.please give me ans in detail about ips.

    To become a IPS officer , you should go for civil service exam because IPS not conduct any exams .IPS officer recruit through Civil Service exam by UPSC .

    The education qualification IPS exam is Bachelor Degree .

    Your age should be in between 21-30 years for general candidate.Age relaxation for OBC candidate is 3years and for SC/ST candidate is 5 years.

    The maximum attempts for Sc/ST candidate is Unlimited. For OBC candidate it is 7 years and for general candidate it will be 5 years.Also you must be citizen of India.

    Hello,
    You have to apply for Civil Services Exam. Civil Services Examination is conducted by UPSC every year for the recruitment of candidates for the post of IAS, IRS, IPS.

    Exam Format of Civil Services Examination

    The Civil Services Exam is a paper based test and consists of two successive stages:
    1. Preliminary Examination– comprising 2 exams – General Studies and CSAT
    2. Civil Services Main Examination (Written and Interview)
    You just have to satisfy the basic eligibility criteria to appear for the Exam.
    The candidate must hold any degree in any discipline from any recognized university.
    The age of candidate should lie in between 21-30 yrs
    The maximum number of attempts for General category is 4
    The candidate should be Indian

    Its good to hear that you aspire to become an IPS officer.

    To become an IPS officer you need to appear for an exam conducted by UPSC.

    The exam conducted for this exam is known as Civil Services Examination.

    Here below are some eligibility norms which you require to give Civil Services exam:-

    >> You must have done your graduation from a recognised university.

    >> Also If you are in the last year then also you are eligible for the exam.

    >> Your age must be between 21 to 30 years in case of General Category.

    >> SC/ST have age relaxation of 5 yrs, OBC- 3yrs and PH have 10 yrs of age relaxation.

    FORMAT OF CIVIL SERVICES EXAM:-

    There are 2 exams:

    1. CSAT i.e, Prelims

    2. Mains

    PAttern of CSAt exam:


    you have 2 papers in this
    A. General Studies
    B. Aptitude test which includes qualitative, quantitative questions.

    fter you qualify in prelims you are required to appear for mains exam.

    hi,

    u want to become IPS (indian police service) this panel is come under civil service catagoeris.

    so u can try for that examination that is held by UPSC board and u will attend that exam in any language that u know.


    for that u have minimun qualification is becholer degree from any filed"

    Hello Friend,

    To become an IPS officer you need to go for civil service exam conducted by UPSC on national basis once in a year. This exam is divided into three phases.
    1. Preliminary Exam
    2. Main Exam
    3. Interview
    Basic criteria or eligibility for this exam are as follows:
    Candidate should be a graduate from a recognized university.
    An Indian Citizen
    Age should be 21 to 30 years, 3 years relaxation for OBC and 5 years relaxation for SC/ST candidates.

    And one thing always remember that you got limited chance to sit in this exam, 4 chance for general category, 7 for OBC and there are not any limit for SC/ST candidates.

    In order to Become IPS you must clear civil service exam CSAT .CSAT stands for – Civil Service Aptitude Test. This is civil Entrance exam. If you clear this exam then you are eligible for the IPS post.

    ## You should be Indian citizen
    ## You should complete graduation from the recognized college or University in any discipline.

    ## Your age should be minimum 21 years and the maximum age for the
    General Category – 30 years
    SC/ST – 35 years
    Physically handicapped – 40 years

    NOTE : Final Year candidates can also apply for the exam. they are eligible

    Current Affairs
    General Aptitude

    The candidates should score the minimum of 50% in order to qualify for the Interview. The selected candidates are called for the Interview. The Interview is conducted by the special officers from he UPSC.

    Dear Friend...
    To become an IPS (Indian police Service officer) :
    For becoming an IPS the candidate must possess a degree from an recognised university or an equivalent qualification. Those in the final year of degree course can also appear in the preliminary examination taken every year by "UPSC".
    Examination Process :
    First the candidate has to procure the "Application Form" along with the "Information Brochure" from any of the postoffice spread all over the country and sent the filled application form to the secretary,Union Public service Commission Dholpur house New Delhi-1101.
    Secondly in the month of may/june the aspirant have to appear the preliminary examination which consist of 2 papers.This exam is just a qualifying exam for the final exam and the score obtained in this exam are not added to the final result.
    Those candidate who have qualified in the preliminary examination are supposed to appear the final exam normally in the month of october.
    Once you have qualified the test the final stage is the interview to test the personality and mental ability. Then the candidate good renk go for the training.After completion of the training they are posted as per the requirement of the Central And State Govt Police And Investigation Organization.

    If you want to become an IPS officer in future then you must have to give the UPSC exam, because there is not any direct exam for the IPS post. UPSC is is conducting the exam for recruitment to the post of IPS, IRS and IAS...
    you have to qualify this exam along with fulfilling all the criteria to become an IPS officer..........

    Eligibility criteria for IPS exam -


    1. Candidate should be of Indian origin.

    There are three stages of this exam -

    The exam contains questions on –
    General Studies, comprehension skill, verbal and

    2.Main Examination-

    Those who qualify Preliminary round appear for Main examination.

    To become IPS Officer, you need to give the civil services exam conducted by UPSC.

    The eligibility required to give this civil services exam is any degree from recognized university with minimum 21 years and maximum 30 years for general category.

    There is age relaxation for reserved category candidates as per the government rules.

    3 years for OBC.

    5 years for SC/ST.

    You need to prepare very sincerely for the exam, unless you put more efforts, you cannot qualify the preliminary exam.

    Hence, if you are really interested in clearing these exams, you should join good coaching center.

    Exam Pattern:

    Preliminary exam

    Main exam

    Interview.

    There is also restriction on the number of attempts for this exam.

    4 attempts for general category

    7 attempts for OBC category

    There is no restriction for SC/ST.

    Next UPSC Civil services Preliminary exam is on 19-05-2013.

    Date of Notification: 02-02-2013.

    Last date for receipt of application: 04-03-2013.
