    Hello,
It is good to appear in UPSC exam after B.Tech. Because if you do so You could find out the model of Questions and prepare the next level with good experience.

It is not necessary that after M.Tech students can give good performance in UPSC exams, because the preparation of examination is quite different form your academic degree.
You should prepare for the exam right now and find which type of questions come in UPSC exams and after that you have the experience to prepare for the examination.

Well it is always better to start for UPSC in the graduation itself, as the syllabus of the exam is of graduation level.
So, if you are serious about appearing in UPSC then drop your plans for MTech.
Also, explore the old question papers for suitability of your subject.
It has been observed that cracking UPSC with Engineering subject is a tough nut to crack. Most engineers change their subjects!!!

    Good luck!!!

its depend upon the optional subject taken by you... if you are taking mechanical subject as optional, it is better to undergo the exam after completing M.tech..if you are taking arts subject as optional , it is better to undergo the test after the proper and well preparations . basic eligiblity for undergoing the test is bachelor degree

    Friend,

For you it is the best time to step for UPSC exams.
You have best options like "Engineering Service Commission" and "Combined Defence Services".
As per my view if you have completed your B.TECH. in recent time, you must start preparations as early as possible for UPSC.

    Hello,

These is no such compulsion that you have to complete your Maters for appearing the UPSC exams. but I would suggest you to complete your Mtech ( although you havent mentioned the semester of your MTech ) since myself being an Masters student I think Mtech is also not that easy and you should concentrate on one thing at a time.
since you havent mentioned your age, Is the age problem with you ? means if you are eligible to appear even after completion of your masters then better first complete the masters. but in mean while also keep yourself aware with happenings in UPSC.
    Best Regards

    Mitesh

    hiiiiii
i think u should go for UPSC exams after b.tech if u did not do their b.tech from a better college nd don't want to study
if u want to study nd if u found a great clg for m.tech then u should go for m.tech but i think that MBA is better than M.Tech as now companies gives preference to those person who did b.tech+MBA because they can handle their business related work as well as engineering works nd for this they dont need two person
first u give the xam for UPSC if it is clear then its better otherwise try next time nd do their m.tech or MBA
    wish u all the best

Its best recommended for a student to start preparing for the Civil Service exams right after the graduation.
As the syllabus for the mains of these exams can strike with the graduation syllabus, you won't face much of the difficulty.
Also the age limit of 21-30 yrs is maintained meanwhile.
so you can start preparing for the UPSC exams right now.

upsc requires a B.Tech degree so you dont need M.Tech degree for upsc. if you want to be successful in upsc exams concentrate on your studies and dont get confused for attaining aM.Tech degree.
