    Hi Aspirant

Well yes Arts students get some benefit in the

Upsc exam as they have subjects like History and Geography

And also have subjects like Economics and these will help

The Arts students in the optional choice subjects also

Because the subjects like history and political are scoring subjects

And you can score a good total in these subjects

And these subjects helps in the general studies subject also

Because in general studies these subjects comes along with

    The present and science subjects

For the Exam the candidate must be pass in the graduation

From a recognized Indian university or the candidate

Should be pass in any equivalent degree to graduation

Also the final year aspirants allowed to sit in the exam

And the age of the candidate should be between 21 to 30

Also for the obc category the age limit 21 to 33

And the age limit for the sc,st is 21 to 35

Attempts are also given to the general 4

And attempts given to the obc 7

Also attempts allowed to the sc,st unlimited

    Best of luck

    Hello,
First of all you have to know all the syllabus of your concerned exams and you should be having question papers of at least last five years the more the better.
    Then
it is very important to be updated in “current affairs” in all fields
For History, Economy, Polity, etc, you should read Class 11 and 12 books published by the NCERT
For general knowledge and objective-type questions, refer to the book “General Knowledge Refresher by O.P. Khanna” or any other as you like..
you should try to read up as many business and political magazines, newspapers etc
These are some techniques that you can use for prepartions of UPSC exams remaining is upon you..

You will certainly have benefits in History and Economics section as you have studied these subjects in detail.
    Regards...
