    Friend you should choose the opional subject in the list of valid subject which is provided by the UPSC in the notificaton of civil service exam.CSE optional subject.jpg


    Friend you should choose the subject of your interest and in where you have good knowledge and command.

    So that you could perform well in the civil service exam.

    If you are confused about your optional subjects then you should prefer your interest means in which subject you are interested to study for mains exam and if you have studied about the relevant subject then you should choose that particular subject and you have following options to choose the subject mains :

    dear,

    when you select the optional subject then see your strong area which subject you read easily,

    select those subject which easily got the study material from the different different sources.

    mostly the candidate select those subject which they are read in the graduation.

    Friend, it is utmost important to choose the optional subjects after deep consideration. Candidate must keep in mind while choosing optional subjects that he should have sound knowledge on that subjects. Candidate must have keen interest in it. Candidate able to arrange varied quality study material of it. Preference given to those subjects which have been studied in academic qualification.WISH YOUR BRIGHT FUTURE

    Dear Aspirant!

    Selection of optional Subjects is the major issue for every aspirant for UPSC examinations.

    Below optional subjects are not allowed with the combination's in UPSC:

    -Commerce accountancy and Management.
    -Sociology and anthropology
    -Statistics and Mathematics.
    -Management and Public administration.
    -any two(2) branches/streams in engineering.
    -Combination of two(2) literature.
    -Public Administration and political sciences.
    -Medical science and Animal husbandry.


    >>>Few tips to select optional subjects are:

    1.Must be comfortable in Grasping the concepts of subjects.
    2.Availability of study materials of subjects.
    3.Finally,Choose subject as your own interest but not others interest.

    While choosing the optional subjects for UPSC Mains exam you should keep following things in mind :

    -UPSC Mains Exams are conducted to judge the candidates abilities esp. two things
    Indepth Knoweledge and Intellegence of the candidates.
    So choose a subject from your graduate level as you will be familiar with it and it will be easy for you to grasp
    more knoweledge on it.

    -Choose subjects of your interest and on which you feel you can command easily in less time and in details.

    -Choose the subject which you understand well so that you can put forward your views and indepth knowelege
    about it when questions are asked about it.

    -Choose subjects which you feel are scoring subjects and you can get good marks in them.

    -Remember that UPSC has prohibited certain combination of subjects amongst the listof optional subjects given.
    so be sure to choose the right combination of the 2 Optional subjects.
    (a) Political Science & International Relations
    and Public Administration
    (b) Commerce & Accountancy & Management
    (c) Anthropology & Sociology
    (d) Mathematics & Statistics
    (e) Agriculture Animal Husbandary & Veterinary Science.


    (f) Management & Public Administration
    (g) Of the Engineering subjects, viz., Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering–not
    more than one subject.
    (h) Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science and Medical Science.

    UPSC provide the list of all subject which is valid for the exam.
    So which subject you have the good knowledge you can choose them.
