Dear, after completion of BE you have to read regular "Competition Success" Magazine for General Studies. For English, Matric level preparation is sufficient. For Optional Papers, Degree level preparation is sufficient. Don't use many books for reference of a single Topic. Just clear your concept. You can go for coaching. So,..... Good luck.....

If you have done degree in engineering then you have many options in UPSC.

you can choose any type of exam conducted by UPSC because you have a bachelor degree.

You can choose any of the exams in the above.

But if you have done B.E then you should go for the IES exams.

    *You must have bachelor degree

    **Atleast 55% marks in graduation

***age should be in between 21-30 years.

    thank you..

Red face Re: How to do UPSC preparation after B.E?

I really appreciated that you want to appear in UPSC examination but there are so many exams which UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) conduct many exam and entrance exams as well.
So first please be specific about nature of exam you would like to appear.

Here I am suggesting some books for GK-GS which are common for all competitive examinations:
    A) NCERT Social Science books Class 9 and 10
    B) CSR for current affairs
    C) Manorana Yarly book
    D) Mathematics NCERT Books from class 5 to 10 for basic knowledge of concepts.

    Hope this helps..
