    Through civil service exam you can be appointed at the post of IAS, IPS or IRS.

    to apply for civil exam your age should between 21 to 30 years.

    You should be the citizen of India.

    you can fill the application form online or purchase the application form from nearest head post office.

    Post graduate candidates can also apply for civil services exam.You must be at least 21 years of age at the time of filling the Civil Services (Preliminary) Exam form and not more than 30 years of age .Various relaxations are available for different categories.IAS and IPS - Candidates must be Indian.Two stages of this exam -a.Prelims exam.b.Main exam.Good Luck!

    First of all I would like to tell you that UPSC does not provide job ,it conducts lots of examinations after clearing which you become eligible for getting job in different departments of Indian government.

    The best exam for you will be Civil services examinations

    Bachelor's degree in any stream from a recognised university is the minimum academic requirement.

    After doing post graduation in Economics ,your are eligible in terms of academic qualifications for the Civil services examinations.

    But as you have not mentioned the date of birth or age ,it is difficult for me to tell you whether you are eligible or not in terms of age.

    The age limitations for the civil services examinations is :


    If you satisfy the age limitations then you are eligible otherwise not.

    The no of attempts are :

    General:4

    OBC:7

    SC/ST: no limit.

    Dear Aspirant!To get job in Union Public Service Commission(UPSC),

    You have to be get eligiblity in Civil Services Examination or Indian Economic Service Examination with your Post graduation as the qualification.Simply apply for Civil services examination which will be starts on 19 th February,2013.

    As Per notification age limits are:
    General:21 years to 30 years.
    OBC-21 years to 33 years.
    SC/ST-21 years to 35 years.

    OBC-07.
    SC/ST-unlimityed of attempts.

    after that you face the interview for the different post according to your merit list.
    you can become IAS ,IPS and IRS throw the competition exam.

    Dear you have not mentioned that in which field of UPSC exams you are interested but according to your qualification you can apply for following exams :

    1. UPSC Civil Services- IAS - Indian Administrative Services - A bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university and age should be between 21-30 years

    2. UPSC Police Services - IPS - Indian Police Services - A bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university and age should be between 21-30 years

    3. UPSC Economic Services - IES or ISS - Indian Economic Services/Indian Statistical Services - A Master degree in Economics or Applied Economics or Business Economics or Econometrics from a recognized university and age should not be less than 21 years and more than 30 years

    Relaxation in upper age follows same for all above mentioned exams which is 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for PWD and 5 years for Ex-Servicemen candidates

    There are three steps follows in the complete selection procedure under these exams

    1. Preliminary Exam - Objective Type
    2. Mains Exam - Conventional Type
    3. Interview Process

    If you want to enter into the service through UPSC board exams then you should follow these guidelines :

    >> The Syllabus of UPSC board exams is huge which is not enough to cover in very short time so you should get some more time to prepare hard for this exam

    >> You should be free from all of your works and other academic studies so that you could prepare well for this UPSC exams easily

    >> You should find out some best coaching institute and take some demo classes in every coaching institute then take any one best coaching to prepare

    >> Coaching centers will provide you at least 6-8 hours everyday for study so that you should also give at least 6-8 hours for your study everyday after and before the coaching so there would be about 16 hours for your preparation and these hours are enough

    >> You should only concentrate to your study so that you could get the profit of your study and avoid your all other activities and hobbies which does not help you to walk on the way of the Success

    >> Keep a fixed time table for your each and every activity for entire day and keep yourself busy in all day

    Dear friend as you are a MA in Economics you can face many exams.of UPSC like Ias/Ips/Irs as your eligibility will permit to write any one of the said examinations.

    Eligibility:

    1.Education: Graduate from a recognized University in any discipline.

    2.AGE: General: 21-30 years relaxations for PWD:10years,S/C S/T: 5 years,OBC: 3 years.

    3.Nationality: Indian.

    Congratulations for the Successful completion of your M.A

    So it is considered as A Post Graduate

    You are definitely eligible to apply for the UPSC exam


    You must have a minimum of GRADUATION

    That is it

    You need to maintain the Age criteria also

    The minimum age is 21 years

    Maximum age could be 30 years

    Any way there will be an Age relaxation for the reserved candidates

    You must be an Indian Citizen

    You can join UPSC civil services exam. you can join IAS/IPS.IRS as well as other exam.

    Eligibility;-

    You must be graduate from a recognized university. There is no percentage requirement.

    Your age should be between 21-30 years. Age relaxation is given to reserved category students.

    3 years for obc students

    5 years for sc/st candidates

    You must be Indian citizen.

    • With having an qualification of M.A in Economics you can apply for the Indian economic services, the examination which is conducted by the UPSC.
    • As per the eligibility criteria, You must have the post graduation degree in Economics/ Applied Economics/ Business Economics/ Econometrics from an recognised university.
    • The age of your's must have to be between 21 years to 30 years on 1st january of the year of examination.
    • The notification of which is released in june and exam will be conducted on November.
