    How to get prepared for IAS exam? Should I leave my job in a reputed IT company to crack IAS?


    I am doing job in a reputed IT company..I want to study for IAS.Please advice me how should prepare for this exam.

    No, its not necessary to quit your job... it is very much possible to crack IAS exam at the same time doing job.. many aspirants clear CSE simultaneously with doing their respective jobs…all you have to do is to put more effort. Don’t quit your job.
    If you want to prepare for IAS while in the job. I know it is very difficult. But I think sustained effort (as far as time devoted per day is concerned) over a longer period of time can possibly be a way for IAS preparation.
    Some people cannot quit their job for monetary reasons yet they clear CSE Examination and that persons will be inspirational to you specially.
    Civil services are one of the toughest competitive examinations when compared to all other competitive examinations which re available.. and you have a job in your hand .. you have to make more and more effort as compared to other aspirants as you will left with little time and will get tired by your whole day work .
    You have to manage your time accordingly and have believe in yourselve .. never let your hope to die.

    First of all I would to appreciate your decision that you want to become an IAS officer.Really it is good career option and one of the most desirable aim of lots of candidates throughout the India. Due to which the competition is very tough.From almost five to six lacs candidates every year only 600-700 are selected.

    The process of selection is transparent and only candidates with extra ordinary talent and knowledge are selected.

    I have discussed all this and given you statistics so that you can get an imagine how tough the exam and according to which you can start the preparation.

    You have mentioned that you work in reputed IT company ,I would suggest you not to leave the company because at present this is your career.

    Along with you can prepare for the Civil services examination .You can join the some of the best institutes for the preparation in the evening shift .Some of the institutes are :

    1.Vajiram and Ravi IAS academy

    2.Khan study group

    3.Chanakya's IAS academy

    4.ETEN IAS academy

    5.Ujjwal IAS academy

    The age limit for the exam is 21-30 years and the no of attempts for the exam is four for general ,seven for obc and no limit for SC/ST candidates.

    These institutes will help you in preparing in right direction and if you work hard along with them ,you will definetly get success withing limited time.Make a habit solving previous year papers as it will boost up your confidence.

    Note:Give your first attempt along with job ,if you face any difficulty or by the way got unsuccessful in first attempt.Never lose your confidence as failures are the pillars of success. After that leave the job then give the full day to your preparation ,you will surely get successful in the second attempt.Always motivate yourself and never let your confidence be down.

    IAS is a most prestigious job of Govt. of India but the exam is very tough. so, i think you should not leave your job because it provides a bright future.
