    If you want to become an civil servant you can apply for various posts such IAS, IPS, IRS.
    You can apply for these posts through Civil Services Examniation.

    Exam Pattern

    Civil Services Preliminary Examination(CSAT)
    Civil Services Main Examination
    Personal Interview

    Educational Qualification
    The candidate must hold any degree in any discipline from any recognized university. Final year degree students are also eligible
    Degree obtained by distance education/open university is also eligible if the university is a recognized university

    The notification for next Civil Services Examination will be released on 04.02.2012
    The Exam is on 20.05.2012.
    You can apply for Civil Services Exam through official website www.upsconline.nic.in
    For further details and Previous Years Question Papers you can refer www.upsc.gov.in

    to be a civil servant you have to pass civil services exams....

    eligibility criteria…

    age limits…
    >>>general category>> 21 to 30 yrs of age
    >>>other backward classes>>21 to 33 yrs of age
    >>>scheduled caste/tribes>>21 to 35 yrs of age


    educational criteria…
    >>>the candidate must have a passed graduation degree from any recognized university.
    >>>the final year graduation students can also apply.
    >>>diploma holders are strictly ineligible.

    if you want to be a civil service then you should have to appear UPSC CIVIL SERVICE EXAM . if you will clear the exam then you can get post likes IES, IAS, IPS, IRS etc..........................


    LET SEE THE UPSC CIVIL SERVICE EXAM CRITERIA:-


    * you should have to passed graduate from the recognized university / final year appearing students can also apply.

    * age should be 21 to 30 years.

    * age relaxation for obc 3 years, for sc/st 5 years.

    * you should be indian.

    Hi Aspirant

    Yes you can make your career as civil servant after completing your graduation degree as after completing the graduation degree from any field whether it is b.sc or b.com or even b.a or any engineering degree as you just need a graduation degree with the one condition that the university should be a recognized Indian university and if you have all these qualifications than you can become civil servant after clearing the civil services exam and for which you need a graduation degree from a recognized university and your age should be minimum 21 years and maximum 30 years for the general category and for the obc the mximum age is 33 and for the sc,st the maximum age limit is 35 years and for the ph category it is 40.

    Two Ways Online as well as Offline

    Attempts :

    Four Attempts available for general

    Seven attempts available for the obc

    Unlimited attempts for sc,st

    You want to go in public sector that is also called as civil services. you complete B-tech then civil serveries exam is the best exam for you to join this field.

    Civil services exam is also called CSAt exam. there are 3 stage of this exam
    Prelim
    Mains
    Interview

    For Civil services exam there are some eligibility criteria which are important for the candidate to appear this exam

    Candidate must be graduate in any stream from recognized university
    age of the candidate is 21 to 30 year,
    3year age relaxation for OBC and 5 year relaxation for SC/ST candidate
    candidate should be Indian

    Civil Services Exam. After clearing Civil Services you can join as IAS,

    IPS, IRS etc.

    Eligibility Criteria For Civil Services:


    graduation from recognized college or university


    AGE LIMIT:


    General Category: 21 to 30 years

    OBC Category: 21 to 33 years


    SC/ST: 21 to 35 years


    you must have attained the lower age limit on 1 August of

    the year of exam and you should not have attained the upper age

    limit on similar date.
