    Hi Friend,

There are Three Steps in Civil Service/UPSC Exam to Become IPS Officer:

    2) Mains Exam

    3) Personal Interview

    >> Procedure of Examination:

    >> First Notification of Exam is Released

    >> Candidate fill form for Preferred Post.

    >> Than Date of Prelim Exam is Released.

    >> Prelim Exam is Conducted after 1 and Half month

    >> After Prelims Exams Result is declare and candidate who have cleared Prelims will fill form for mains Exam and Select Subject

    >> And Main Exam is conducted and after 1 and Half month Result is Declared.

    >> So Candidate who have cleared Mains exam will face Personal Interview.

to become an IPS officer, you need posses the required mentioned eligibility criteria.

indian police service IS a difficult task, you need to be loyal, dedicated, mentally and physically fit and fine

as we are aware that police force deals with crime and criminal etc.so being physically fit does not solve the criteria, aspirants has to be mentally sharp and alert also.

FOR IPS YOU need to crack the civil service exam, which is conduct by upsc once in a year in following stages=

    1)preliminary test
    2)main exams

age limit=21-30 year.plus age relaxation for sc/st/obc/pHC/EX-SERVICE MEN

educational qualification=any bachelor degree with no backlog

medically fit and fine in all aspects

no.of times of attempts=for all=4 times and there is relaxation for sc/st/obc

"You are successful not because of the number triumphs and honor you have taken but by the number of times you recover from failures."

    good luck

    thank you
