Re: How many optional subjects should we opt for IAS exam?

Friend, please note that# As per new guidelines of UPSC, now candidates have to choose only one optional subject instead of two optional subjects.# Second major modification in UPSC Examination is that there is no provision of examination of optional subject in the preliminary examination. In the preliminary examination candidates have to face only General Studies only.# Apart from above mentioned two modifications, rest terms & conditions, eligibility conditions and age limits are not changed.# Age limit fixed for UPSC Examination is 21-30 years. However, candidates of reserved category can availed the benefit of age relaxation in upper age by certain years as per laid down by Government of India.# There is also no any change has been made in the number of attempts reserved for the candidates. As a general rule, 04 attempts for General category, 07 for OBC category and unlimited attempts reserved for SC & ST categories.# For more information, you can freely visit the following websites: * http://upsc.gov.in * www.upscdiscussions.com
