    How is it possible to get railway job without giving UPSC exam? Is there any other exam equivalent to UPSC exam by which I can join Indian Railways as engineer?

    Can i get Railway Job as a Civil Engineer without giving UPSC Exam,Is there any other Exam Equivalent to it, by which I can get Entry in Railway as an Engineer.

    UPSC as well as Central Government conduct exams for the posts in Railways. The candidates who clears the exam with high grade appointed for various posts in Indian Railways.Excelent pay is given to candidates who are appointed in Railways.

    List Of Exams for Railways:
    1. SCRA
    2. Railway Officers Examination

    1. SCRA:- SCRA stands for Special Class Railways Apperentice Exam. The exam is conducted by UPSC every year. The exam is of Intermediate Level.

    for SCRA you must have completed or pursuing in 12th with Mathematics and Physics or Chemistry from recognized Board or college.

    for SCRA your age must be within 17 years to 21 years. there is also applicable relaxation in upper age limit upto 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST aspirants.


    2.Railway Officers Examination: the various exams for the officers posts are Indian Ralway Traffic Service(IRTS), Indian Railways Accountants Service(IRAS), Indian Railway Service of Engineers(IRSE), Indian Ralway Service of Electrical Engineers(IRSEE), Indian Railway Services of Signal Engeers(IRSSE), Indian Railways Store Service(IRSS),
    RPF Sub-Inspectors/Constables Examination.

    for IRTS and IRAS you have to write Civil Services exam that is conducted by UPSC. for Civil Services you need graduation in any stream. your age must be within 21 years to 30 years and there is relaxation in upper age upto 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.

    for IRSE, IRSEE, IRSSE, IRSS you have to write Indian Engineering Services(IES) exam that is conducted by UPSC every year. for IES you must have Engineering degree in any discipline. your age must be within 21 years to 30 years. there is also relaxation in upper age upto 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST aspirants.
