    Re: How to prepare for IAS exams? What field should I choose after 12th (Commerce) course?

    Dear aspirant,

    -As you are a commerce student in 10+2 then you can go for Graduation in commerce ( B.Com.) .

    -There is a optional subject in IAS list of optional subject Commerce and accountancy. So it will be good if you complete your graduation in commerce .

    -Economics is also a optional subject in IAS so if you are interested in economics you can also choose this subject.

    -It is upto you in which field you have interest because syllabus of IAS is very vast and you should have interest in that subject to study for long time.

    BEST OF LUCK....

    HI,

    Any stream candidates are eligible to apply for IAS Examination ie:- Commerce / Science / Arts Etc..

    So. you can take any stream as you like in 12th Standard , But as per my Knowledge Arts / Science stream candidates preferable to apply for IAS Examination .

    The Minimum Educational Qualification to appear in IAS Examination is that the candidate should Complete Graduation in any stream from recognized University .

    So, If your Qualified in Graduation Courses like, B.sc / BBA/ B.com Etc..

    Age should be Not less than 21 years and Not more than 30 years .

    Upper age relaxation :::

    For SC/ST candidate :- 5 years
    For OBC candidates :- 3 years
