    Dear Aspirant

    Develop a habit of reading newspaper and start solving aptitude,reasoning English comprehension and DI questions.Preliminary examination syllabus consists of

    2)History of India and Indian National Movement.
    3)Indian and World Geography - Physical, Social, Economic Geography of India and the World.
    4)Indian Polity and Governance - Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Rights Issues, etc.
    5) Economic and Social Development Sustainable Development, Poverty, Inclusion, Demographics, Social Sector initiatives, etc.
    6)General issues on Environmental Ecology, Bio-diversity and Climate Change
    7)General Science.
    Paper II- (200 marks) Duration: Two hours
    1)Comprehension Interpersonal skills including communication skills;
    2)Logical reasoning and analytical ability
    3)Decision-making and problem-solving
    4)General mental ability Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude, etc.) (Class X level),
    5)Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency etc. - Class X level)

    Next important thing is that prepare your economics paper well.It is among one of the optional provided by UPSC.So download syllabus and previous years question paper and start solving question on them as you covers your economics paper in graduation.
