    OH... You can have a lot of opportunity, in UPSC examination. UPSC held IES exam for Mechanical Engineering with other engineering department.

    You can have post of Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineering, Indian Railway Stores Services, Central power Engineering Services, Indian Naval Armament Services, etc.

    You can apply for UPSC through Engineering Service examination.

    IES Stands for Indian Engineering Service examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission Once in a year for recruitment of Indian Railways , Defence Services , Central Water Engineering Service , Central Power Engineering Services , Indian Ordnance Factories Services , Indian Naval Armament Services , Indian Supply Service .... etc in Mechanical Department.Every year Union Public Service Commission recruit 560 including 47 PH vacancies .

    Eligibility Criteria :-

    The Applicant must be completed engineering degree from a recognized University or equivalent qualification and there is no minimum marks required for this examination.The applicant age should be between 21 years and 30 years as on 1st august of the year of examination and relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC/Ex-Service categories.Those who are pursing in the final year of degree course may also eligible to apply for Engineering Service examination.

    it wont help for the graduate or individual by this examination.. all the recruitment is done by this examination is meant for doing services to all grades of people directly without bias.....

    Hi Aspirant

    The future of the Mechanical engineering is no doubt bright

    As a student you can apply for the upsc civil services exam

    For the exam you need to be pass in graduation from a recognized indian university

    And either a final year student can also apply for the exam

    And the age limit to appear in the exam is

    21-30 AND Their is relaxation for the obc of 3 years and for the sc.st of 5 years

    Also their are no. of attempts also given

    As for general their are 4 attempts given and for the obc their is 7 attempts

    And for the sc.st their is unlimited attempts given

    if you are a mechanical engineering graduate than there is a lot of opportunities for you also ,

    you can apply for both upsc civil services examination and indian engineering services examination.

    After clearing the exam you can become an ias/aps/afs/ an govt. Engineer under the central govt.of india which is a good respectable and

    honorable job .

    Hi Aspirant,

    Being a mechanical engineer you have several opportunities to set your future bright in Government sector as well as private sector.

    As you mentioned that you want to make your career in same field through UPSC exam.

    Then you will have to appear in IES (Indian Engineering Service) exam.

    IES exam is conducted every year for the recruitment of post Assistant Executive Engineer.


    Needed criteria for IES exam

    You should be graduated in technical degree like B. Tech of BE from UGC recognized university.

    There are minimum educational qualification for IES candidate must be Graduate an engineering degree with following streams
    *Civil Engineering
    *Electrical Engineering
    *Mechanical Engineering
    *Electronics and Communication Engineering

    Age should be between 21-30 years
    Age relaxation for OBC 3 years
