    I completed my graduation in 6 years instead of 4 years. Can I appear in IAS exam? Will I be cleared in Interview?

    i did my graduation in btech in 6 years instead of 4 years because of backlogs...now i want to appear for UPSC IAS ...i just wanted to know that can i appear for this exam and if i clear will i be cleared in interview....please do reply...

    Yes, dear you are eligible for IAS exam

    To become an IAS officer you will appear in Civil Service Exam

    For this examination candidate must be Graduate any stream from any recognized university

    It is not issue that in which attempts you have pass your degree

    Due to work hard and good preparation of the examination you can get your dream job

    Hello Dear,

    yes you are fully eligible for IAS exam. It doesn't matter that how many year you take for completing your degree only you are graduate you are eligible.

    IAS exam is also said that Civil services exam or CSAt exam

    CIVIL SERVICES APTITUDE TEST

    Eligibility Criteria


    Candidate should be graduate from recognized university
    final year candidate can also apply

    Age of the candidate is 21 to 30 year.
    there are relaxation in age for category candidate
    3 year age relaxation for OBC candidate and 5 year for SC/ST candidate

    Attempt limit
    For General candidate- 4 attempt
    OBC- 7 Attempt
    SC/ST - no limit


    If you have a great confidence and passion then definitely you can crack the Interview.
    Positive thinking is very important for cracking the interview so develop it.

    Hello,
    Yes definitely you can appear in IAS Exam.Civil Services Examination is conducted by UPSC every year for the recruitment of candidates for the post of IAS, IRS, IPS.
    You just need to be a graduate in any discipline to appear for Civil Services Examination. It doesn't matter whether you have completed your graduation in 4 years or 6. The thing that matters is that you are a graduate and that's all what is needed.
    And Yes there will be no problems in your interview regarding your degree completion time. So prepare your best.

    Hello

    YES YOU CAN APPLY FOR THE IAS EXAMS.

    The educational qualification for the IAS exams is the graduation from any stream.
    It really does not matter the time you took to clear your degree,its only the degree which matters.

    A candidate who have completed the graduate in 4 years is a graduate and the candidate who have taken 6 years ,he is also a graduate.

    Jut as he completed the degree in 6 years ,it does not mean that he is not a graduate,and as the criteria says only degree is applicable for the exam,so you are applicable for the IAS exams.
