    I would get my B.Tech certificate by July 2014. Will I be eligible to appear in UPSC -2013?

    sir, i will be a b.tech 4th year student by july 2013 and would get my b.tech completed by july 2014. will i be eligible to appear in upsc 2013, as prelims are held around may and at that time i would be in 3rd year itself?
    (though i will be in 4th year by the time i have to appear for mains.)

    offcourse frnd you can appear in UPSC 2013 becoz for this exam you should only graduate from recognized university...............

    Sorry!You cannot give UPSC - 2013 examinations, because B.Tech is a 4 years duration course,but you are studying 3rd B.tech till 2013.

    Minimum educational qualification required is Must be final/appeared Graduation only eligible.
    You can give UPSC-2014 examinations. because by the time of Mains examinations you have to be produce all your Graduate level certificates.

    It means Preliminary exam time you have to be complete Graduation...

    Better to apply for UPSC-2014 only.


    Minimum age required is 21 years and above.....

    Hello guest,

    If you appeared in the exam of your course before UPSC exam than you can apply for the UPSC exam.
    Because your's certificate is required at the time of interview.
    when you crack the prelims and main exam after that get the interview.
    so of you are in last year of exam you can apply for this exam.

    Eligibility Criteria:-
    Education qualification-
    Graduation in any stream from Govt. recognized University(NO restriction of %)
    Final year student who appeared in last year exam can also apply for UPSC prelims exam.
    Age limit-
    GEN- 21 to 30 year
    OBC- 21 to 33 year
    SC/ST- 21 to 35 year
    Nationality-
    Indian
    Attepts-
    Gen- 4
    OBC- 7
    SC/ST- Unlimited
