UPSC conducts various exams at the graduate level for candidates every year.

You can apply to UPSC exams only in your final year of graduation.

Since you are in 3rd year B.Tech (Mech) i guess you will have to wait

till you reach the final year i.e. 4th year of B.Tech.

Final year appearing/appeared candidates can apply on provision as permitted by UPSC.

Being a B.tech graduate you can apply to following UPSC Exams :
    Indian Engineering Services Exam
    Civil Services Exam
    Central Police Forces
    Combined Defence Services
    Indian Forest Services

If you have a bachelor degree in any discipline from a recognized university with at least 50% marks and your age is between 21-30 years then you can apply for most of the exams of UPSC Board which are under civil services and non-civil services but B.Tech i a 4 year degree and you are studying in third year of your degree and you should know that UPSC allows those who are pursuing in final year or appearing for final year exams or awaiting for the announcement of the result but you are not in final year so that you are not eligible to apply for UPSC exams but if you qualify your all three years and pursue in final year without any backlog then you can apply for UPSC exams.

    No sir,

You are not eligible for the exam while studying the 3rd year of the B.Tech. Because b.tech is the 4 years degree course.

When you will appear in the final year semester means 4th year-final year then you are eligible for the exam.

The upsc requirement is the candidate complete or final year of the degree.

The age limit for the exam is the 21 to 30 years for unreserved category.

The age relaxation for reserved category.

If you've got a bachelor degree in any discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of five hundredth marks and your age is between 21-30 years then you'll be able to apply for many of the exams of UPSC Board that ar below civil services and non-civil services however B.Tech i a four year degree and {you ar|you're} finding out in third year of your degree and you must recognize that UPSC permits those that are following in final year or showing for final year exams or awaiting for the announcement of the result however you're not in final year so you're not eligible to use for UPSC exams however if you qualify your all 3 years and pursue in final year with none backlog then you'll be able to apply for UPSC exams.

Sorry to mention that ,you are not eligible for the UPSC exams whose minimum prerequisite is baccalaureate whereas finding out in third year of bachelor of technology.

the tutorial qualification needed to seem for the UPSC exams supported baccalaureate is that you just ought to have baccalaureate in any stream from a recognised university.

Final year graduation students may apply for the exams.
you are not eligible to jot down for upsc civil services examination at this point as a result of , you're not in final year course,

    Hello

No you can not apply for UPSC exams being in the third year.

You have to be in the final year to apply for the exams, basically the main logic behind this is that only students who have completed their graduation in any stream are applicable, now the notifications of the UPSC exams are released in the month of february so a student can apply being in the final year.so that when he will complete the degree he can give the exam and with that his one year will not be wasted as every degree course end in the month of may/june .That is why so much of confusion is there regarding this topic.

You are eligible but only after completing the graduation but you can apply for the exam being in the final year.
