    hai this is sayera..... can any one tel me whts the mininmum percentage for appearing civils services????

    To give civil services exam, there is no specific percentage required, only you need is a degree from recognized university.

    So, if you have a valid degree from recognized university, you can apply for Civil services exam.

    You need to satisfy one more criteria i.e age.

    You should have minimum 21 years and maximum should be 30 years.

    Upper age relaxation for reserved category candidates is as follows:

    3 years for OBC.

    5 years for SC/ST

    10 years for PWD & Ex-servicemen.

    Exam Pattern:

    1. Preliminary exam or CSAT Exam

    2. Main exam

    3. Interview

    Number of attempts:

    General category- 4

    OBC - 7

    There is no limit for SC/ST.

    Next UPSC Civil services Preliminary exam is on 19-05-2013.

    Date of Notification: 02-02-2013.

    Last date for receipt of application: 04-03-2013.

    it is nice that you want to join civil services examination.

    you can apply civil services examination after graduation.

    there is no percentage requirement for civil services exam.


    ----you must be graduate from a recognized university,

    ---age limit is 21-30 years.

    ---you must be Indian citizen.

    ----you must be physically as well as mentally fit.

    First of all, you should know, that there is no minimum percentage criteria for applying to civil services exam.

    Civil Services exams are conducted by UPSC every year.

    The exams are conducted for IAS / IPS / IFS.

    There are three main eligibility criteria to sit for civil services exam.

    These criteria are -

    Candidate must be an Indian.

    You should be a graduate in any discipline from a recognised university.

    Your age should be between 21 years and 30 years.

    So, if you fulfill these criteria, you can definitely sit for Civil services exams.

    Civil Services Examination is conducted by UPSC every year for the recruitment of candidates for the post of IAS, IRS, IPS. UPSC doesn't consider marks/ percentage so don't worry about it. You just have to satisfy the basic eligibility criteria to appear for Civil Services Examination.

    The basic eligibility criteria for Civil Services Exam are as follows:
    The candidate must hold any degree in any discipline from any recognized university. Final year degree students are also eligible
    The age limit is 21-30 yrs
    The maximum number of attempts for General category is 4
    The candidate should be Indian

    Civil Service Exam is conducted by UPSC in every year .

    If you have graduate degree with any stream from any recognized university then you are eligible for Civil Service Exam .This exam not require any percentage criteria .

    Your age should be in between 21 to 30 years.Age relaxation is provide 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidate.

    No. of permissible attempts :Four of general category. (Seven attempts of OBC and no limit for SC/ST )

    Eligibility Criteria for UPSC civil services exam 2013 :

    A bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university and final year pursuing candidates are also eligible to apply for UPSC civil services exam 2013

    Age should not be less than 21 years and more than 30 years and relaxation in upper age as per government standards which is 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC category candidates

    Dear there is no percentage marks required in the degree to apply for this exam means no criteria required about fixed percentage marks for this exam and if you have passed your graduation with at least 40% marks then also you are eligible to apply for this exam

    UPSC Civil Service preliminary exam 2013 is going to be conducted at - 19th of may 2013

    If you want to crack then you should go to any good coaching institute to prepare for this exam because if you think to prepare at home then you can prepare but you would be a candidate of lack of guidance so that you need to prepare for this exam according to the new and current syllabus and pattern and if you have completed your study of graduation and free from study then you should give 80% of your time to prepare for IAS exam then you would be able to qualify the prelims and mains exam
