    A textbook generally takes you through the material step by step, starting with the easiest and moving on to more difficult tasks. A reference book is usually categorized, designed so you can look things up easily. They aren't really intended to be read straight through.

    If you want to study something comprehensively, a textbook would be better. If there are only a few things you need to know on the topic, a reference book might be better as those things would be easier to find.

    I m select 2 subject one is mechanical engg & geografi which book refer to each subject. About subject selection any suggetion to give me How to study reference books? what is the difference between reference books and normal books?
