    I think IAS is the best option for your career in furture lots of scope of this field and if you complete this course you can earn lots of money in this field.

    friend it is the matter of your interest and desire.

    but in my point of view civil service will be much better than IES.

    because IAS is the top level post of India and there is good future opportunity in civil service.

    here you can shine your career and go far away.

    Hey friend,
    YOu have completed your economics hons graduated then you should to go for the IAS.
    Because first IES for the engineers and also second think is your branch.
    So i suggest you go for IAS exam .

    Dear Aspirant

    Being an Economics graduate I will suggest you to prepare well and give civil services examination.Economics is also one of the optional provided by UPSC in main examiantion. As IES is conducted for engineering graduates for engineering works in civil,mechanical,electrical engineering and Elecronics and Telecommunication.

    dear aspirant,

    both IAS and IES(Indian Economics Service) are good from carrier point of view. And Selection is depend on your interest. IAS is related to Administration Field and IES related to Economics Field. you can apply for IAS after graduation and for IES you need post graduation in Economics.
    and i will advice you to go for Civil Services Exam.
    UPSC conduct Civil Services Exam for the post of IAS, IPS, IRS, IFS etc. For Civil Services you need graduation.

    Civil Services has three phase and you have to clear all the phase:

    1. Prelims(CSAT)
    2. Mains
    3. Interview

    >>you must have completed or appearing in final year of graduation.

    >>your age must be within 21 years to 30 years on 1 August of the year of exam. there is relaxation in upper age limit up to 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.



    Limit Number Of Attempts:

    >>General category: 4 attempts

    >>OBC category: 7 attempts

    >>SC/ST category: No Limit

    last date of receipt of application:04.04.2013

    date of exam:26.05.2013
