Re: Which optional subjects should I choose for UPSC Mains exam being a Pharmacy graduate?

for the MAINS examination of the upsc civil services exam you have two select two subjects out of the subjects allowed by upsc for this exam.

    Main Exam Optional Subjects
Agriculture, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science,
Anthropology, Botany, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Commerce and Accountancy,
    Economics, Electrical Engineering, Geography, Geology,
History, Law, Management, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering,
Medical Science, Philosophy, Physics, Political Science and International Relations,
    Psychology, Public Administration,
    Sociology, Statistics, Zoology.

you can choose any two out of these subjects but make sure that combination of subjects you choose must be different in study point of view.
the subjects that require almost similar preparation, their combination is not allowed .

subjects like history, geography , Sociology, Economics ets are scoring subject you can take these subject as one in your combination other can be the one related to your study.
