    Civil service exams is conducted by union public service commission.

    TO JOIN THESE EXAM;-

    * EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS;-

    a graduation from a recognized university.
    there is no percentage criteria.

    *AGE LIMIT;-

    age should be between 21-30 years.

    category age relaxation
    general 0
    obc 3
    sc/st 5

    NATIONALITY;-

    you must be citizen of India.

    NUMBER OF ATTEMPT;-
    4 times for general category

    7 times for obc category

    no limit for sc/st candidate.

    Hi Aspirant,

    Yes friend you can write for civil service exam. Degree in distance mode is fully valid for CSE. On condition that the university or college should be recognized by IGNOU or DEC.

    UPSC plans the CS exam every year for the post of IAS, IPS or IRS every year and candidates who satisfy the eligibility criteria of CS exam can apply.

    Eligibility Condition for Civil Service Aptitude Test

    Candidates should have bachelor degree in any stream from recognized university or college or its equivalent.

    in case of distance mode college should be valid by IGNOU or DEC.

    Final year candidates can also apply for CS exam.

    There is no restriction of percentage in graduation.

    Your must attain the age of 21 years but not more than 30 years

    Age relaxation

    For SC/ST + 5 years

    For OBC + 3 years

    For PH + 10 years

    For ex service man + 5 years

    You should be the citizen of India.


    There is limited attempt to apply for civil service exam so candidates should apply only when he/she is confident for the selection.

    Number of chances for CSAT exam

    7 attempt for OBC candidates

    4 attempt for General candidates

    No limit for SC/St candidates.

    Candidates can apply for civil service exam through Online and offline application form.

    Form fee is only Rs. 100.

    For the 2013 UPSC is going to release notification on 2/2/2013 and last date of application is 4/3/2013. Preliminary exam will be held on 19/5/2012.

    Notification will be updated at UPSC official website as well as employment newspaper.

    Yes, you can apply for Civil Services Exam. There is no percentage required. You should graduate from any recognized university.

    Criteria is :

    Educational Qualification: Degree from any recognized university.

    Age Limit: Age Should be between 21-30 years

    SC/ST 5 years Relaxation
    OBC 3 years Relaxation

    Numbers of Attempts:

    For General Candidate 4 Attempts
    For OBC Candidate 7 Attempts
    For SC/ST Candidate No Limits

    Examination Schedule:


    It consists of two stage :
    1. Preliminary Examination
    2.Main Examination

    Preliminary Examination: It will consistsof Two papers of objective type and carry a maximum 400 marks.

    Main Examination: Main exam consists ofWritten test and interview.

    You can apply for this examination.
