    Is it possible to crack IAS exam without coaching? If yes let me know the best books for general studies and Commerce & accountancy?

    Hi Folks

    Is it possible to crack IAS exams without taking Coachings?
    I reside in an urban place in Assam where there is no IAS coaching classes.Is it possible for me to take IAS exam by self preparation.If so do let it me know the books for General Studies and Optional Studies(Commerce and Accountancy).A phone call to discuss the same will always be apprecited.My contact number is 9207080040.

    Civil service examination has been designed in such a way that non-coaching student can easily crack it.Civil service exam requires continuous study in a planned and systematic way.You know prelims exams consists of only two paper that is General Studies and paper 2 consisting question of English comprehension,Aptitude reasoning and DI

    Similarly main examination consists of essay ,four papers of general studies and optional paper which you might have already studied in your graduation.So go through previous years questions understand the type questions ,see the syllabus ,according buy books and go through them.

    UPSC Conduct Civil Services Exam for the post of IAS. You can apply for the exam while appearing in final year of graduation or after completing graduation.

    Yes, Sir you can crack the Exam without Coaching. For Civil Services Exam you have to prepare hard and concentrate on Basic concepts.

    According to new rule you have to choose only one optional subject from the list of given optional subject for Civil Services:

    Eligibility Criteria For Civil Services:

    >>you must have completed or appearing in final year of graduation.

    >>your age must be within 21 years to 30 years on 1 August of the year of exam. there is relaxation in upper age limit up to 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.



    Limit Number Of Attempts:

    >>General category: 4 attempts

    >>OBC category: 7 attempts

    >>SC/ST category: No Limit
