    Preferable optional subjects for BAMS graduates for IAS/IPS exams?

    my self completed bams<ayurveda>which subjects are preferable for ias/ips pls tell me

    Dear if you are BAMS graduate then first you should apply for civil service preliminary examination qualify prelims exam of civil service and if you will qualify then only you will be eligible to apply for mains examination and there will be following pattern for mains examination

    Paper I - Essay - 200 marks and 100 marks for English Comprehension

    Paper II - General Studies - 250 marks

    Paper III - General Studies - 250 marks

    Paper IV - General Studies - 250 marks

    Paper V - General Studies - 250 marks

    Paper VI - Optional Subject from the list - 250 marks

    Paper VII - Optional Subject from the list - 250 marks

    List of optional subjects from which you may choose any one for mains exam :

    Agriculture
    Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science
    Anthropology
    Botany
    Chemistry
    Civil Engineering
    Commerce and Accountancy
    Economics
    Electrical Engineering
    Geology
    Geography
    History
    Law
    Management
    Mathematics
    Mechanical Engineering
    Medical Science
    Physics
    Philosophy
    Political Science and International Relations
    Psychology
    Public Administration
    Sociology
    Statistics
    Zoology

    Dear as you have completed your BAMS then you must choose any one of the following subject for mains examination and if you wish then you may also choose any one literature subject from the list provided in the attached notification

    Medical Science
    Chemistry
    Psychology
    Zoology

    Any one from above mentioned subjects will be suitable for you and you can prepare well for that subject and can easily qualify the examination so that you should start your preparation for next year civil service exam and if you have already applied for civil service prelims 2013 then first prepare for this exam then think about mains
