First of all you have to know that There are two types of written examination in UPSC.
UPSC Prelim exam and UPSC Mains exam. You will appear in UPSC Prelim exam first in which Objective type Questions are asked from General English, General Studies etc.
For UPSC Mains you have to choose Subjects. There are total 51 Optional Subjects in which 23 are from main subjects and 28 Language Subjects like Hindi, English, Bengali etc.
Now if you are graduate in any stream then you can write directly upsc exam. You have to first apply online at www.upsconline.nic.in and if you don't want to apply online then you can apply offline and buy the application form of upsc at any post office.

before the ias exam no other entrance exam is required but some term and condition is for the candidate:-
1.candidate graduate in any stream from the recognized university approved by the ugc/aicet.
2.last year candidate or who candidate wait the result also apply the exam.
3. Indian citizen ship is must.
4. some age condition like as:-
the age limit is for general category is 21 to 30 years. and attempt the exam 4 time.
the age limit is for obc category is 21 to 33 years ( 3 years relaxation ). attempt the exam 7 times.
age limit for SC/ST category is 21 to 35 years and attempt chance till overage. means unlimited

one is preliminary and other is mains.

Eligibility Criteria for CS exam:
1. you need to complete or appearing in final year of graduation in any field.
2. your age must be within 21 years to 30 years and there is relaxation in upper age limit: 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST.
for CS you need only graduation and no other course is needed to apply for CS exam.

See you don't need to appear any pre-examination before appearing this IAS.For writing this exam you just require a graduation certificate and thats it. Don't worry, there is no percentage criteria kind of a thing here.If you are a graduate then you are surely eligible.Let me talk on this eligibility criteria in details.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
1>Those candidate are graduate from any recognized university with any discipline are eligible for IAS exam.However the age should be in between 22 to 30 years.Age relaxation is provide for SC/ST/OBC category as per govt rule.
2>Also the candidate must be a citizen of India.
MAXIMUM ATTEMPTS:
The maximum attempts for SC/ST candidate is Unlimited. For OBC candidate it is 7 years and for general candidate it will be 5 years.
