If you are applying for the IMA, Airforce and Navy you have to appear in the below papers in the CDS exams:
    English
    General knowledge
    Elementary Mathematics

    Only for the OTA exams:
    English
    General knowledge

Since you have filled both IMA nd OTA, you have to appear in the Elementary Mathematics paper also

UPSC conducts the Combined Defence Services(CDS) Examtwicea year.
    Selections are made for the
    Naval Academy,Airforce Academy,Indian Military Academy(IMA) and Officers Training Academy(OTA).

    To be
eligible to apply for IMA & OTA you donot require to take maths as a subject at graduation level.
    But when you
appear in the CDS Exams you have to attempt an elementary Maths paper for IMA.
For OTA in CDS exams Maths is not required. So maths is infact
not mandatory to apply for IMA & OTA.
So the choice is upto you to take up maths or not in your degree level.

    Eligibility For CDS Exams :

    Age Limit :
    OTA-19-25yrs
    IMA-19-24yrs

    Airforce Academy-19-23yrs

    Naval Academy-19-22yrs

There is no relaxation of age limit for any category of candidates.

    Educational Qualification :
Minimum educational qualification is graduation from a recognised University.

OTA & IMA-graduation in any dicipline from a recognised University/equivalent.

Airforce Academy-B.Sc with Physics and/or Maths / B.E. in any discipline from a recognised University.

Naval Academy-B.Sc with Maths and Physics/B.E. in any discipline from a recognised University.

    Exam Scheme :
    Exam pattern consists of :
    1.Written exams and 2.Interviews.

For IMA,Airforce and Naval Academy written Exams :

    Elementary Maths(Objective type)-100 marks

    Engilish(Objective type)-100 marks

    General Knowledge(Objective type)-100 marks

    SSB Interviews
    -300 marks

Re: Should I take maths paper in CDS exam if opted IMA and OTA?

Dear if you have applied for UPSC Combined Defense Service Examination then you should know that what are the subjects under each category

    Subjects asked in IMA/INA/IAFA :

    English Language - 100 marks

    General Knowledge - 100 marks

    Elementary Mathematics - 100 marks

Subjects asked in OTA - Officers Training Academy

    English Language - 100 marks

    General Knowledge - 100 marks

So that dear you have opted both IMA and OTA Academies as your preference so that you would have to appear for all 3 papers because of your Indian Military Academy section and if you had opted only one OTA then you would not have need to appear for mathematics paper in CDS Examination

This year CDS I examination has been conducted at - 17th february 2013 and UPSC board has announced the dates for next CDS II Examination which are following as

Start date for online application - 25-05-2013

Last date for online application - 24-06-2013

Date for UPSC CDS Examination - 08-09-2013

So dear you have at least 6 months left to prepare for another CDS Examination and if you go to any good coaching institute and prepare all previous years question papers and study hard for your CDS II Examination then you can easily crack the CDS Examination and enter into the defense sector of India which is under the central government of India

I have attached some question papers of previous years for CDS Examination, please download all the question papers and prepare well for UPSC CDS 2013 - II Examination

    All the best
