    Civil service exam is conducted by the union public service commission once in a year at national level.

    This exam is conducted for the post of IAS, IPS or IRS.

    to apply for the civil service exam you should be graduate in any stream from recognized university or its equivalent.

    your age should be between 21 to 30 years

    You must be the citizen of India.


    There is limited attempt in civil service exam.

    4 attempts for general candidates

    7 attempts for OBC candidates

    No limit of attempts for SC/ST candidates.


    You can apply for the civil service exam through UPSC.

    UPSC provides the two modes to apply for the civil service exam

    Hello,
    Civil Services Examination is conducted by UPSC every year. Through this examination you can apply for IPS, IAS, IRS posts.
    Exam Format of CSAT
    The Civil Services Exam is conducted in 2 stages:
    1. Civil Services Preliminary Examination
    2. Civil Services Main Examination (Written and Interview)

    You can only appear in Civil Services Exam if you satisfy the basic eligibility criteria like
    Educational Qualification
    The candidate must hold any degree in any discipline from any recognized university
    Final year degree students are also eligible
    Degree obtained by distance education/open university is also eligible if the university is a recognized university
    Age limit
    General 21-30 yrs
    SC/ST 21-35 yrs
    PH 21-40 yrs
    Number of attempts permitted
    General 4
    OBC 7
    PH 7
    SC/ST No Limit
    Nationality should be Indian.

    DEAR ASPIRANT, the eligibility criteria for the civil services exam
    aspirant should have completed graduation or engineering from a recognized university under ugc.

    the civil services exam is conducted in two stages .
    PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION
    MAINS EXAMINATION


    notification for the upsc civil services examination is released in the month of feb/march.
    The PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION is held in the month of MAY .
    The MAINS EXAMINATION is held in the month of OCTUBER according to the subjects selected by the candidates.

    age criteria for this exam is
    21-30 years for the general category
    21-33 years for the OBC category
    21-35 years for the SC/ST category


    Number of attempts
    4 attempts for general category
    7 attempts for OBC category
    no limit for SC/ST category



    examination pattern

    PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION

    Paper I : 200 Marks
    Economic and Social Development - Sustainable Development, Poverty, Inclusion, Demographics, Social Sector Initiatives,

    General Issues on Environmental Ecology, Bio-diversity and Climate Change, General Science

    Current Events of National and International Importance, History of India and Indian National Movement

    Indian and World Geography - Physical, Social, Economic Geography of India and the world

    Indian Polity and Governance - Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Rights Issues

    Paper II: 200 marks

    Comprehension,
    Interpersonal skills including communication skills,
    Logical reasoning and analytical ability,
    Decision-making and problem solving,
    General mental ability,
    Basic numeracy ,
    English language comprehension .

    MAINS EXAMINATION
    paper 1: 300 marks
    one of the language selected by the aspirant from the 22 languages included in the 8th schedule of the constitution.

    paper 2: 300 marks
    english

    paper 3: 200 marks
    essay in the language chose by the candidate

    paper 4&5: 600 marks
    general studies (two papers of 300 marks each)

    paper 6,7,8,9: 1200 marks
    two subjects selected by the candidate out of the allowed subjects by UPSC.
    (two paper of each subject)

    Hello Dear,

    Civil services exam is conducted by UPSC(Union Public Service Commission)

    In CSAT exam there are three stage

    2. Main Exam

    After Clearing this exam candidate find various post like IAS IPS IRS on the basis of merit that he/she obtain in the exam.

    Eligibility criteria

    Well here i given details about UPSC eligibility Criteria and i will provide details information about the UPSC Eligibility Criteria in the Below Manner.

    UPSC Eligibility Criteria's:

    Nationality:-The Aspirants should be citizen of India or a subject of Bhutan or a subject of Nepal

    Educational Qualification:-The Aspirants must be Complete the Bachelor degree or Engineering Degree in any stream from recognized university and there is no minimum percentage of mark for this examination and final year candidates also eligible for this examination but one condition you will submit the course Completion certification into the Office.

    Age Limit's:-
    ~~The General Aspirant age limit should between 21 to 30 years

    Physical Standards:- The Aspirant should be medically fit for this examination

    Civil Services Exam is conducted by UPSC every year for the

    posts of IAS, IPS, IRS etc.

    Civil Services Exam is conducted in three parts:
    1. CSAT
    2. MAINS
    3. INTERVIEW

    candidates get higher rank in CSAT are eligible to apply for Mains

    exam. after clearing Mains exam candidates re called for Interview.

    Eligibility Criteria For Civil Services:


    Graduation from recognized college or university


    AGE LIMIT:


    General Category: 21 to 30 years

    OBC Category: 21 to 33 years


    SC/ST: 21 to 35 years


    you must have attained the lower age limit on 1 August of the
