    What are the common physical standards required for admission in NDA? I have passed 10th class and interested to join NDA.

    enquiry about addmission in nda
    I have passed class 10.I want to get addmission in national defence academy of India.I wanted to know that what were the common physical standards(height , weight etc.) required for addmission in nda.

    Hello dear,

    Its good to hear your dedication towards nation.

    But, Sorry to say that you have not completed your 10+2 , so you are not eligible for NDA examination.

    NDA is "National Defense Academy" for which the minimum academic qualification is 10+2 with physics and math.

    Eligibility criteria for NDA exam is :

    1. age - 16.5 to 19 years
    2. academic - 10+2 with physics and math.
    3. nationality - Indian.

    first of all you can not join the NDA because you din't complete your 12 ...... first complete you 12th then only you can apply for NDA

    Hi,
    After 10th class, you can not join NDA exam.

    NDA exam requires 12th standard from a recognized university WITH PASSING MARKS.

    Therefore at first complete 12th class from a recognized board.

    To crack NDA exam ,you must be physically as well as mentally fit.

    NDA exam has specific Physical and medical standard.

    Hello my Dear Friend ...


    Right now .. you have just passed the "" 10th "" class only

    So you have to Wait for the
    "" TWO MORE YEARS "" to be eligible


    Usually A Candidates recommended by the " Services Selection Board " will under go a Medical Examination by the
    "" Board of Service Medical Officers ""


    You must be Physically and Mentally Fit

    You Should not be
    Overweight or Obese

    Chest should be well Developed


    You should not have Past History of Mental Breakdown or Fits

    Fully Expanded chest should not be less than 81 cms

    You must be in Good Physical and Mental Health

    From from any
    disease / Disability which is likely in Interfere with the Efficient performance of the military Duties

    Routine ECG and EEG for AIR FORCE candidates must be with in the Normal Limits

    dear Aspirant,


    I am Sorry to say that on the basis of your 10th qualification you are not eligible to apply for NDA exam. for NDA exam the minimum required educational qualification is 12th. so you need to first complete 12th. you can also apply for CDS exam while studying in 12th. NDA exam is conducted for the posts in Air Force, Navy and Army by UPSC twice in every year.

    NDA exam is conducted in two phases:
    1. Written
    2. SSB



    for Air Force and navy you need 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or equivalent and for Army you need 12th in any discipline from recognized board or College . you can also apply for the exam while pursuing in 12th.




    there is Physical test which is also a important part of it. you must be highly Physically and Mentally fit. after written exam physical test is being conducted. and you have to clear the test. In this they can ask for race, weight lifting, or walk through ropes or any other task.


    Physical Requirements:


    Height:- 165 cm & ST(not for SC and OBC) 160 cm.

    Chest:- minimum 84 cm. Expansion 5 cm.

    Eye Sight:- 6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good Eye
    6/12 or 6/9 for worst eye.
    Near Vision J1 for Good Eye and J2 for worst eye.


    for NDA your age must be within 16.5 years to 19 years. there is no relaxation for any category.

    Well there is no special standards for the NDA examination your height should be according to your weight like your height should be minimum 157cms to apply for the same.
    Well you need to be physically and mentally fit all you need to do is to run in a good manner.
    You should be good in character.
    Here is the eligibility criteria for the same as follows-
    Eligibility criteria for the the NDA examination-
    NDA is an national defence academy examination.
    Qualification-
    10+2 in any stream to apply for the indian army.
    10+2 in physics and mathematics to apply for the air force and navy.
    Age should be 16.5 to 19 years of age.
    There will be no age relaxation for any candidates.
    You shouldnot have any criminal records.
    You must be indian by nationality.
    girls are not eligible for NDA.
    Candidate should be male unmarried.
    Selection procedure-
    Written test.
    SSB interview.
    Medical examination.
