    Hello,
    You have to apply for IPS (Indian Police Service) through Civil Services Examination. Civil Service Examination is conducted by UPSC every year for the recruitment of candidates for the post of IPS.

    The eligibility criteria for IPS Exam are as follows:
    Educational Qualification
    The candidate must hold any degree in any discipline from any recognized university
    Final year degree students are also eligible
    Degree obtained by distance education/open university is also eligible if the university is a recognized university
    Age limit
    General 21-30 yrs
    SC/ST 21-35 yrs
    OBC 21-33 yrs
    Number of attempts permitted
    General 4
    OBC 7
    PH 7
    SC/ST No Limit
    Nationality should be Indian.

    Special Physical Requirements For IPS
    1.Minimum height of 165 cm for Men and 150 cm for Women (minimum height is relaxable to 160 and 145 cm for Men and Women respectively in the case of candidates belonging to ST and to races such as Gorkhas, Garhwalias, Assamese, Kumaonis, Nagaland Tribals etc.)

    2.Min Chest girth fully expanded: 84 cm for Men and 79 cm for Women. Expansion of 5 cm for Men and Women.

    3.Total amount of Myopia (including the cylinder) should not exceed minus 4.00 D and total amount of Hypermetropia (including the cylinder) should not exceed plus 4.00 D

    4.Presence of Squint is a disqualification

    HEllo
    You have to compete your graduation and get a degree from any recognised university or equivalent.
    After getting a degree you will be eligible to apply for the IPS exam conducted by UPSC every year.
    You will also be eligible to apply for the PSI exams.

    If you are interested to become a police officer in India then you need to have following qualifications :

    1. Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized board/university/institute.

    2. Age should not be less than 21 years and more than 30 years and relaxation in age as per government guidelines which is 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC category candidates.

    3. Physical Standards according to Selection Board - UPSC/SSC/State Government :

    Male Hight - 165 cm and 160 cm for SC/ST and other reserved category candidates.
    Female Hight - 150 cm and 145 cm for SC/ST and other reserved category candidates.

    Chest Male - 84 cm and must have expansion of 5 cm
    Chest Female - 79 cm and must have expansion of 5 cm

    Eye Sight - Eye Sight should be about - 6/6 or 6/9 for good eye and - 6/12 or 6/9 for worst eye. and should have distant vision - J 1

    Nasal : Candidate should not stammer while speaking/talking/etc.

    Ear : Good listening and normal year cavity and 1000 to 4000 frequency, hearing impairment should not be more than 30 decibels.

    Female - Female Candidate should not be pregnant while the physical or medical test.

    If you have above mentioned eligibility then you can become a police officer but you will have to prepare hard for your written examination because this is the most important stage for you to qualify and if you could not qualify then you would not be eligible for further process of selection so prepare hard.

    If you wish to become a Police Officer after 12th you should finish your graduation first.
    Minimum educational qualification required to apply to competitive exams to become a
    police officer is graduation in any discipline.
    To become a police officer you can apply to competitive exams at the State level like MPSC,GPSC,etc
    At the All India Level to become an Indian Police Services(IPS) Officer you can also apply to UPSC Civil Services Exam.

    Eligibility For CSE :

    Age Limit :
    General Category-21-30yrs on 1st August of the year of exam
    OBC-21-33yrs
    SC/ST-21-35yrs

    Educational Qualification :A degree in any discipline from a UGC recognised University.
    Final year appearing/appeared candidates can apply on provision.

    Attempts :
    General Category-4 times
    OBC-7 times
    SC/ST-Unlimited times

    if you want to be a Police officer then you should have to complete your graduation first then you can apply for CSE EXAM FOR IPS OFFICER.


    LET SEE THE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR IPS:-

    > you should have to passed graduate from the recognized university.

    > final year appearing students can also apply.

    > age should be 21 to 30 years.

    > age relaxation for obc 3 years, for sc/st 5 years.

    > you should be an indian.


    so firstly dear complete graduation from the recognized university.

    You can give Indian Police Service(IPS) examination after your Graduation any stream.
    You cannot give IPS examination with 10+2 as educational qualification.

    You have much time to complete Graduation so, prepare for Civil services along with Degree subjects.

    Female
    Height-150 cms
    Chest - measurements not required.....

    After 12th you are not eligible for IPS.....

    The minimum eligibility for UPSC is you must complete the graduation from any recognized university.

    And your age should in between 21-30 years.

    So after graduation only you can go for UPSC.......

    If you want to become a police officer then you do the following:

    * Get graduate degree in any stream from recognized university.

    * Age limit : 21-30 yrs.

    Then you will be able to eligible for the UPSC civil services exam conducted every year and therefore you can apply it online at www.upsconline.nic.in and then you can join IPS i.e Indian Police Services.

    Dear,
    After complete the +2 you take the admission in the graduation and firstly complete the graduation in any stream if you want to become a police officer.
    Because graduation is compulsory for the police officer. If you want to become police officer through upsc exam then you start your preparation for the civil service exam.
    Under the civil service exam you got the seat ips,ias,irs etc.
    For this exam candidate must have graduate in any stream.
    Age limit for the exam is the 21 to 30 years,
    Age relaxation for the reserve category as per government rules.
    For the ips officer physical fitness compulsory
    The height required for the male candidate is the 165cms And female candidate is the 150 cm Chest required unexpended 77cm and with expands 82 cm. For more information please update with the www.upsc.gov.in Best of luck for the exam

    With the +2 exam you can not apply for the IPS exam

    Because to be eligible for IPS you must have a minimum of GRADUATION from a recognized university

    And the minimum age must be 21 years

    And so firstly TRY to complete the GRADUATION

    The maximum age is allowed up to 30 years

    You must be an Indian Citizen

    After +2; you need to complete graduation. It is mandatory.

    The criteria for appearing in UPSC Exam is :
    1. Nationality : Indian
    2. Academic qualification : Graduate in any stream from any recognized university.
    3. Age limits : 21-30 (OPEN), 21-33 (OBC), 21-35(sc/st).
    4. Attempts : OPEN-4 , OBC-7 ,SC/ST-9 .

    After completing graduation, you will have to appear for IPS exam conducted by UPSC. After clearing all the stages of UPSC exam, you will become a police officer.

    If you are keen interested to join police force then you have to take ips exam.

    After 12 class you have to complete graduation .

    In final year you will become eligible to apply to ips exam.

    This exam is conducted every year by upsc.

    Age limits are: general, 21-30 years.

    Upper age limits are for: obc; 3 years and sc/st is 5 years.

    If you appear - IPS - Indian Police Service post - through UPSC

    Educational Qualification :

    If you have a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university with at least 50% marks or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized university then you are eligible according to educational qualification.


    Age Limit :
    If your age is between 21-30 years then you are eligible in age and if you belongs to reserved category then you may get upper age relaxation in age as per government standards which would be about 5 years for SC/STs and 3 years for OBC category candidates.


    Physical Standards :

    Height - Male - 165 cm for general candidates and 160 for reserved category candidates
    Chest - Male - Minimum 84 cm and expansion of minimum 5 cm

    Eye Sight : 6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good eye and 6/12 or 6/9 distant vision for worst eye and near vision j1 for good eye and j2 for worst eye
