Re: What to do after B.Tech to become an IAS officer?

1)You should anaylze youself whether you ae geneniouley interested for IAS exams.Or you are just hearing its importance you are trying to give it .
    2) Whole journey of preparation require true dedication ,hard-work,and motivating yourself in your downturn
3)First shift to a place or have a friend circle that truly dedicated themselves for preparing IAS and you can get materials related to IAS
4)GO to official websites of upsc(www.upsc.gov.in)
5)Download previous years question paper (IAS)
6)Analyze the pattern of exam(Duration of exam,Number of question papers asked subjective or conventional)
you should do these things yourself .It will take time but it will gradually increase interest in your preparation.
    Next phase
Start Preparing for prelims first(I can tell what it consists but then it will presenting ready-made coaching material) and then read one newspaper daily preferably 'The Hindu '(for current affairs)
7)Identify any paper of your interest from optional list given in UPSC .Start preparing for it .
here are many things .You should plan gradually .Accomplshing task one by one.Generate your interest then action to accomplish it.All the best
