    Ethics, Integrity and Aptitude subjects are also covers much part of the General Studies subject in main examination of UPSC ICS and because of it's importance, a separate subject has been decided to be conducted in main examination under General Studies category so this becomes very essential to all civil service aspirants

    Before knowing anything in detail related to this subject you should know the meaning of these topics in which - Ethics means principles in general way which are necessary in the live of everyone and life is nothing without principles so ethics are mandatory to experience the life at every level because ethics takes you under limitations for something that is very good for life.

    Integrity means honesty or truthfulness which is the most important part of our life because if human is living under integrity then he/she can achieve big targets because integrity teaches you how to get anything on your own and make you perfect among people

    Aptitude shows you ability, skill and talent that you have and make you able to use your abilities in right way so you can understand that everything in this paper will be depended on these above mentioned subjects but there may be some different topics but everything will be relating to these words

    This paper includes questions to test the candidate's attitude and approach to issues relating to integrity, probity in public life and his/her problem solving skills to various issues and conflicts faced by him in dealing with society. Questions may utilize the case study approach to determine these aspects. This subject will cover following mentioned areas :

    * Ethics and Human Interface, determinants and consequences of Ethics in - human actions, dimensions of ethics - in private and public relationships. Human Values - lessons from the lives and teachings of great leaders, reformers and administrators, role of family, society and educational institutions in inculcating values.

    * Attitude : Content, structure, function, its influence and relation with thought and behavior, moral and political attitudes; social influence and persuasion

    * Aptitude and Foundational values for Civil Service : Integrity, impartiality and non-partnership, objectivity, dedication to public service, empathy, tolerance and compassion towards the weaker sections

    * Emotional Intelligence concepts and their utilities and application in administration and governance

    * Contributions of moral thinkers and philosophers from India and world

    * Public/Civil Service values and Ethics in Public administration : Status and problems, ethical concerns and dilemmas in government and private institutions, laws, rules, regulations and conscience as sources of ethical guidance; accountability and ethical governance; strengthening of ethical and moral values in governance; ethical issues in international relations and funding; corporate governance.

    * Probity in Governance: Concept of public service; Philosophical basis of governance and probity; information sharing and transparency in government, Right to Information, Codes of Ethics, Codes of Conduct, Citizen's Charters, Work culture, Quality of service delivery, Utilization of public funds, challenges of corruption

    * Case Studies on Above issues
