    In order to become IPS Officer, you will have to crack CIVIL SERVICES EXAMINATION being conducted by UPSC every year.

    The complete selection procedure for this is by
    -Civil Services Aptitude Test
    -Civil Services Main Examination
    -Interview

    ELIGIBILITY FOR IPS:

    Academic Qualification:
    -One should have completed Graduation with any of the stream from a recognized university.
    -Candidates who have appeared for final year exams of Graduation course and waiting for the result can also apply for this Exam.

    Age criteria:
    -One should be in the age group of 21-30 years to be eligible for this Exam.
    -Relaxation is there in upper age limit upto 3 years for the candidates of OBC category and upto 5 years for the candidates of SC/ST category.


    Physical Eligibility for IPS:

    1. Height: Minimum height for men and women is fixed at 165 cm and 150 cm. The requirement of minimum height is same for General, OBC, and SC categories aspirants. However, there is some relaxation of 5 cm for both men and women in case of them belonging to ST, and some particular races like Assamese, Gorkhas, Garhwalias, etc.

    2. Permitted problems in Vision: Total amount of Myopia which includes cylinder should be less than -4D, and total amount of Hypermetropia which again includes cylinder should not exceed +4D.

    3. Aspirants must have high grade color vision and binocular vision.

    4. Chest Girth expandable: Men - 84 cm, Women - 79 cm.

    5. Spectacles are allowed

    6. All joints should show perfect motion.

    IPS stands for Indian police Service. This exam is conducted by Union public Service Commission under the Civil Service for every year.If you interest to apply this exam you should be have this eligibility criteria's.

    Minimum eligibility criteria's:-

    ~~The Applicant should be complete the There years under graduate degree in any stream from recognized university or institution.And final year candidates may also eligible to apply for this examination.There is no minimum percentage of marks require for this examination.

    Note:- The Final year candidate have submit the course completion from the institution before appearing the IPS Examination.

    ~~Number of Attempts:-
    For General Candidates - 4
    For OBC Candidtes - 7
    For SC/ST candidates - No limits

    ~~Age Limits:-
    For General Candidate - 21 to 30 years
    For SC/ST candidate - 21 to 35 years
    For OBC Candidate - 21 to 33 years.

    ~~Physical Standards:-(Male)

    Height:-
    For General Candidate - 165 cms
    For OBC/Sc Candidate - 162.5 cms

    Chest:-
    For General Candidate - unexpanded- 77 cms, Exapanded- 82cms
    For ST candidate -unexpanded- 76 cms, Exapanded- 81cms

    Dear friend,

    For IPS selection following are the criteria for height and chest expansion:


    MALE:

    *Height:Male 165 cm Pahari Male (general also) & ST(not the SC/ OBC) ? 160 cm
    *Chest :Male Minimum 84 cm. Expansion 5 cm.

    FEMALE:

    *Female 150 cm Pahari Female (general also) & ST (not SC/ OBC)- 145 cm

    *Female Min 79 cm expansion 5 cm.

    Dear,

    Minimum height required for the IPS:-

    Height for male candidate: - 165 cm for unreserved category
    150 cm for reserved category.

    Height for Female candidate: - 150 cm for reserved category.
    145 cm for unreserved category.

    Chest required for male candidate: 77cm and 82cm with expand.

    Qualification is required for the graduation in any stream.

    Age limt for the candidate 21 to 30 years for unreserved category.

    3 years for obc and 5 years sc/st category age relaxation.

    IPS EXAM STANDS FOR INDIAN POLICE SERVICE EXAM WHICH IS CONDUCTED BY UPSC.
    for this exam you must be graduate from a recognized university.
    age limit is 21-30 years,.
    you must be Indian citizen

    IPS stands for INDIAN POLICE SERVICE

    This exam is conducted by UPSC once in a year.

    ELIGIBILITY FOR IPS EXAM

    *Bachelor degree from recognized university

    ** At least 60% marks in graduation

    ***You must be Indian

    ****Age must lies in between 21 - 30 years

    You can become an IPS Officer by cracking the civil services exam which is conducted every year by the Union Public Service Commission.


    The Minimum Height Required is :


    For General Category Male : 165cms.

    For General Category Female : 150cms.

    For Reserved Category Male : 160cms.

    For Reserved Category Female : 145cms.
